INTRODUCTION
The report aims to analyse the techniques and methodologies which helps in delivering
project successfully. A project last long for some period of time which needs to be accomplished
within set duration (Ramos Carrasco, and Villafuerte Garrafa, 2020). A firm which operates for
the welfare of society and its development, it require proper resources and planning in order to
achieve desired objectives. This report is going to talk about the Transport for London. They
want to develop a road project which helps in generating more attractive streets which enables
bus network access.
MAIN BODY
TASK 1
Methodologies
The construction of the project leads to analyse the project deliveries, resources and time
duration which will impact on performing project actions. A project must be created through
effective methodologies that will be beneficial for the TFL which has objectives to create the
efficient working for creating better environment. Effective operations required to achieve to
minimise the failure and risk of the project deliveries. Some of the required methodologies are
provided below:
Prince 2 approach: It is a process which is based on this approach which is focused on
control and organisation over the entire project from the initial to last stage. It means that
projects are analysed and planned before the kick off where each stage of the process is clearly
structured and any loose points are neatly tied up after the project concludes into positive
manner. The main purpose of this approach is to have better control over the resources and
better business and project risk management as well. It also involves that who should involve
into the project and in what capacity as well. If these principles have not been met out into
positive manner then this is the approach which can't be implemented to mange the project. In
context to TFL, they can use this approach in order to have proper control over the entire project
from their initial stage to final stage. In this manner, this approach can be implemented at the
organisational level.

The network project diagram is contracted for the critical path evaluation of the activities
that will be beneficial for the company. The above represented diagram has focused on managing
techniques and clearly structured the projects aims and methods. This shows that the time will be
taken by the activities is of 1,2,4,5,9,10,21 and 22. the higher up chart is crucial to design the
time gets consumed for each task and complete in within short project span (Yu, Dukes, and
Schmidt, 2019). Therefore, the TFL must follow this time schedule for effective compilation of
work.

helps in taking decisions on which the TFL needs to focus on necessity. The stakeholders defined
as per the power and their interest in the organisation working.
Document Page
High power, low interest: as per this stakeholder matrix, the high power and low interest
index demonstrate that these people have much power to give orders to others. Whereas, they do
not have much interest in the operations as they know how to make someone work. These people
are major key assets for TFL for the road project (Singh, and Jankovitz, 2018). It includes
committee members like broad of directors are to be taken.
High power, high interest: high power and high interest index leads to showcase the
potential of the people. These are the one who have both power and interest in the companies
project. These people give guidance, prepare plans and their opinions. There is need to retain
these people for successful project completion (Richardson, and Carstens, 2021). In TFL road
project, these people the leaders, investors and stakeholders who could manage high performance
in the company as well as take part in setting project objectives.
Low power, high interest: The low power and high interest project is required to set an
inactive image of the people. These people could not give orders and take part ion decision
making for project. But they are the one who carries out practical implementation of plan to
make the project successful. These people are employees of TFL who will work dedicatedly and
put their efforts in managing timelines and building roads and streets.
Low power, low interest: as per this low power index, these people are the one who do
not have much interference in the company. Low interest people are those who are inactive in the
organisation which shows that the TFL do not need to focus on their retention and engagement
during the project (Rincón-González, and Díaz-Piraquive, 2019). They must be keep in touch
by taking monthly feedbacks. They are the society and people for the road construction project.
As per the stakeholders index, it has analysed that the government, stakeholders and
committee members are the crucial players for the TFL. They will directly impact on TFL
working and might influence in project compilation so they must remain informed and attentive.
