Exploring new place, people, culture, tradition, environment, lifestyle and many more
things if I can think of possible to experience, then only one thing that strikes my mind is
“Travelling”.
“Travelling” for me is not just visiting a place rather it is the opportunity to know how
different the world around you. Since childhood, whenever I get opportunity to move out
or go somewhere, I have never said no to any such opportunity. I have no particular
interest in traveling like visiting greenery or historical place or rock hills or zoo, centuries
etc. I love to go anywhere, as for me important is “just go somewhere”.
Travelling is like motivation for me of pleasure, relaxation, discovery, culture, building
communication etc. thus I never wait for opportunity of travelling like many other to find
time for it, I just create time to explore new and being a student, I have that freedom and
curiosity for travelling always.
I have visited many places but the recent visit to “Thailand” I would say, one of the most
memorable and precious visit I have ever had. That visit took my excitement, curiosity,
happiness to sky high and till date it’s vivid in my eye.
This experience, I would like to share with you and why it’s so memorable for me, I am
going to reveal it.
On 19th October, 2017, the day I had to take my flight from JFK New York to
Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK) Bangkok. It was a late night flight at 2.00AM
but I was active and no sleepiness feeling as I was excited to reach Bangkok soon. It
took 12 hours long travelling to reach finally at Bangkok at 2 AM as per the Bangkok
time. It’s interesting to see departure and arrival at same time in two different nation.
This was my first wow moment on arrival.
A local guide named Janie was waiting for me at airport to take me to one the famous 5
star hotel “Bangkok Palace” to rest. The excitement was so high that I would like to start
visiting Thailand since arrival despite I was tired inside. Though I experienced few

things from airport to hotel. The first one is Janie’s greeting “Yindee ka” in Thai its
“welcome”. I was touched, I followed her in a cab to hotel and during that travelling I
found Bangkok so busy even in late night. I had few conversation with Janie and driver
too who were not better but good at conversing in English. Janie described a brief
demographic, geographic and psychographic description of Thailand. The best thing I
heard from that conversation is Buddhist population around 90% and the “no-horn”
traffic system. Many more she described which I researched before touring. It was 45
minutes journey to hotel which was fully highlighting Thailand
Morning 7.00am, the first day of 2 days Thailand tour began with the “Metal Castle”
temple or locally called “Loha prasat”. This temple is called so because it has 37 metal
spires representing 37 virtues towards enlightenment. It is Buddhist temple where a 5.5
ton pure gold Buddha idol is worshiped. I found peace and calmness in air there and felt
a great day ahead.
Straight from there, I went to the famous “Jewellery Trade Centre”. I was taken to a
small theatre room first where a beautiful lady guided me to sit and watch the show
about the richness of Thailand in Gold and gems market. I came to know many facts
like Thailand is the most gems producing and exporting country in this world. I came to
know how gems are taken and studded in jewellery. Then they took me to shop where I
found countless mesmerising jewelleries at a reasonable rate. I bought few for my mom
and other relatives.
For lunch, I went to a Typical Thai restaurant named as “Lord Jim Mandarin hotel”
where I experienced authentic Thai food like Pad thai, Thai curry, Tom yum, Green
papaya salad and some local sweets which filled my stomach full still wanted to eat
more like gourmet as it was so delicious.
In evening I went to the best mall of Bangkok or can say Thailand named as “DC mall”
which was not only a complete shopping centre back to my home type, rather it’s a
complete entertainment house consisting of Himmapan Avatar, Ongbak lie, love and
light festival celebration and many more. I spent almost 5 hours hover around mall and
ended up with 6 kg shopping items back to hotel.

Day two, Janie took me in a cab to Pattaya, a 3 hours long drive from Bangkok city.
During that journey, I witnessed how well their traffic system, sanitary system along with
that the people following rules and regulation and surprised to see how they drive
without using Horn. In between journey, we got down at a roadside restaurant to have
Thai food again and also met some of my country people and of course of other nation
enjoying together. It was so lovely to see such unity.
I reached the Pattaya Beach which I was waiting for since morning. Without wasting
time, I jumped into to take sea bath under chilling sun. I went to a land ‘Bali hai pier’ a
place where I did surfing, parasailing, underwater activity, scuba diving with the local
trained boys there.
Then I moved to walking street, the street famous for shops, bars, music clubs and
Cabaret show. The show was awesome which fooled me completely after knowing the
so called Ladies are actually gents, opening our mouth with the body grace.
I went to art in paradise which was a 3d exhibition, then 12D moving theatre and
eneded my Thailand journey at Pattaya view point.
The view point was so god, I could see the whole city, the lights, fresh air coming and
the peace at that point made me fresh.
I took the flight on 21st at 7.00 am local time but was feeling to stay here more as within
two days the experience was unmatchable. It was like a dream come true.
