obligation of one man towards his family. Two of the major themes that has been highlighted
within the film is the alienation and isolation. The film is the metaphor of the reality of the
current world highlighting the limits of the loyalty of family and the testing their empathy ("The
Metamorphosis By Franz Kafka"). The thematic thesis of the movie illustrates the idea of the
rejection of the character from his family towards the establishment of the fact that there lies no
such thing as unconditional love in this world. From the beginning of the film, Gregor is
portrayed as a pathetic character working and supporting his family. The film explains the reality
of life when the hard-working man, Gregor morphs to a cockroach and his family disowned him.
Despite of getting little to no recognition of his efforts, Gregor desperately wanted to be loved by
his family for whom he did so much through out his life. The thesis statement of film highlights

maximum. The maker of the film, Kafka tried to make an astute observations regrading the
nature of humanity highlighting fact that human beings are not necessarily the most evolved
among all the living creatures ("The Metamorphosis By Franz Kafka"). The film portrayed the
realization of Gregor regrading his value to his family in the terms of his ability and financial
support to them which eventually faded due to his physical transformation. To conclude the film,
The Metamorphosis is a stellar achievement regrading expressionism.
