Part 2: Theoretical framework or model for Capstone project:
The theoretical framework or model is necessary for identifying the core areas needed to be
developed for continuing a project work. In this way, the researcher would need to allocate
key objectives of the project and relevant approaches, which would be used for completing
the projected work. The chosen capstone project will cover the leadership development. The
projected framework or model would reflect the completion process and fulfilment of the
objectives (Hammer et al. 2018). In this case, trait theory of leadership, behavioural theory of
leadership etcetera can be used. The framework would depict in the context of how
leadership is helpful for business sustainability.
The framework would depict the problem areas and would reflect possible solutions to
mitigate the issues. Along with this, the formulated framework should have indication
towards the choice of quantitative and qualitative method for the project. Along with this, the
theoretical framework or model would also help to choose the supportive sources for
collecting quantitative and qualitative data for meeting project objectives. Moreover, different
methodologies can be chosen with the help of framework.
The framed theoretical framework has stated the changes needed for leadership style and the
process, which will lead to have business sustainability. Towards the continuation, it has
allocated that the resourcefulness, resilience and personal values are lead to affect the
strategic flexibility and social capital. These two would create business sustainability. This
framework has allocated necessary areas and skills to be developed within organisation. Here,
it has been seen that employees’ personal involvement is also necessary for better business
sustainability. However, the leaders should take the first step for improvising the employees
for their involvement towards business sustainability.
