Communication
 Communication is found to be an important element of teaching. Without communication,
it is not possible for the teacher to convey their teaching to the student. A teacher uses
different types of communication which include verbal and nonverbal. It is found that
both communications are important to use. A teacher should use effective communication
because if they are not using effective one then it may create many types of problems and
issues. Different types of communication models include the transmission model and
transactional model which are explained below:

Theories and models of communication
 The transmission model also refers to a linear model of communication in which
communication is described as a one-way process. That means it includes only a sender
that transmits a message to the receiver. This model formed not as much effective in
today's lifestyle.

 The transactional model is found to be one of the important models of communication
which is currently very popular. It is identified that this model is continuously expanding.
The reason behind this is that scholars view communication as more than a process. In a
general sense, communication is like sending a message but it is necessary to understand
that communication is not limited to only this process as it also includes the point of view
of the receiver and interaction with them.

Application of theories, principles and
models of communication
 The application of models, theories and principles is very important for learning.
 The model theories and principles give direction for communication.
 The teacher can use theories and principles as per the learner's understanding level.
 These models and principles help the teachers to assess learners' cognitive development
and also it will help the teacher to understand how they communicate with learners and
influence teaching.
