Subject- Theories, Principles and Models in Education and Training
Aims for lesson-
To teach the students in the class about the Theories, Principles and Models in Education and
Training. The aim will be to ensure that the students are able to develop their understanding
about this topic and can clear their doubts and confusions which they have. The aim will be to
prepare the students on this topic so that they are able to develop their skills and competencies
effectively and efficiently and attain the desired success in the future.
Specific learning outcomes-
 By studying Unit 502 the students will be able to identify how they have to teach and
train the students when they become teachers in the future.
 Through the study of Unit 502, the students will ensure that they are able to develop
their skills and competencies to become teachers in the future.

Previous Knowledge Assumed-

Class Profile-
The Class will consist of the students who are studying at Level 5. They are the students who
aspire to become teachers in the future. Some of the students are also doing their internship by
teaching at a School and thus the classes will need to focus at them and enhancing their learning
abilities. Regular discussion has to made with these students about the way they have to be
taught so that they are able to enhance their skills and abilities and can become good teachers in

the future.
The use of Viva will be made frequently as a tool to judge the performance of the students and
whether they are able to understand the lessons perfectly or not. Thus in this way a test of their
ability can be taken. Also Group Discussions will be used as a tool through which test of
students can be taken as they discuss in groups with each other on a specific topic. In this way
the students will learn more about themselves and the way they give a presentation on a
particular topic which will help a lot in the development of their skills and competencies in the
future for the role of teacher which they want to assume.
As most of the students are competent in the use of English it will be the primary language
which will be used for the purpose of teaching them. This is so because it is the language which
is understood by all. Thus in this way they will be able to understand the lessons in a much
better and the teachers will also be able to teach them effectively and efficiently. The teachers
will ensure that the lessons are spaced during a time-period of 10 weeks which allows them to
properly space out the teaching lessons so that they are able to develop skills and competencies
in the students which will help them in becoming teachers in the future.
