INTRODUCTION
Third sector organisations play a major role in the development of the society and also helps
in providing effective services to the people of the community. In this report, there will be the
analysis of the key events that helps in shaping the actions of the third sector organisation. After
there will be the discussion on the types of work these organisations are carrying out their
activities (McMullin, 2021). Along with that there will be the analysis of the services of the
public sector that are delivered by the third sector organisations. After there will be analysis of
the ways in which the third sector organisations come in the partnership in order to provide the
public services. At the end of the report, there will be the evaluation of the benefits and the
barriers of using third sector organisation in order to deliver the public services delivery.

P1 Explain key events that have shaped the work of third sector organisations.
There are various initiatives and the events that has been taken by the officials of the
government in order to shape the third sector organisation. It also helps in improving the social
economy as well as welfare in the society (Davis and Rhodes, 2020). These steps of the
government also facilitate the non-profit organisation in order to perform better in the specific
place. Some of the initiatives that can be undertaken are described below in relation to the
government policies:
 Expenditure on education: It is one of the main initiative that has been taken by the
official authorities in order to improve the education facilities in the country. Government
has spent lots of amount on the educational sector and it help them to make the economic
conditions better in the society. On the other hand, it also helps in shaping the actions of
the third sector organisation such as charities, NGO etc. When government takes decision
in their regards it helps the non-profit organisations to carry out their activities in a
systematic manner.
 Investment in health sector: It is the another main initiatives of the government that
facilitates the third sector organisation to make their efforts more valuable in the market.

One of the main aim of the third sector organisation is that they want to increase the
social welfare in the society (Courtney, 2020). When government makes investment in
health sector it directly helps the non-profit organisations to carry their activities in a
smooth manner. Because they also wanted that each and every individual in the
community should get effective treatment in regards to the specific diseases. It helps the
third sector organisations to promote the health care services in the community.

the standard of living of the people. Some of the actions and the works of the third sector
organisations are described below:
 Contributes to economic growth: It is one of the main work of the third sector
organisation as they help in the overall development of the economy. These organisation
ensures that each and every individual in the society should get equal opportunity of the
work so that everyone can maintain their basic standard of living. These actions of the
organisation directly help in the economic growth of the country.
 Social care for children: It is the another type of work that they are busy in. These
organisations have main aim of caring the children in the community so that they can
grab more opportunities in the future. This work of the non-profit organisation is very
much beneficial for the country because it helps them to make their children of the place
hard working (Jones, 2019). Social care of the children is very important because by
practising this they get to know how they should behave in the society. It facilitates them
that how they should act in a positive manner towards the other people of the society.
 Collection of funds: It is the another main function of these organisation that in which
they raise funds for the community in order to improve the conditions of the society.
Non-profit organisations raise funds for the various activities of the community through
which they can improve the well-being of the individuals in the society (Lyons, 2020).
These organisations wanted that each and every individual of the society gets enough
resources in order to make their living possible. For that purpose, they raise funds from
various sources in order to fulfil the demands of the society.

There are several kinds of works that are carried out by the third sector organisation in
the marketplace. One of the main aim of these types of organisation is that they want to improve
the condition of the society and increase the welfare of the community. Some of public services
that are delivered by the third sector organisations are mentioned below:
 Education: It is one of the most effective public services that are offered by the third
sector organisation in the community. Education is the main foundation of the children
and it is one of the major public services that are offered by these types of organisation in
order to improve the performance of the society.
 Environmental protection: It is the another main services of the public that are offered
by the third sector organisation in the market (Mills and Meek, 2019). These organisation
has main aim to improve the quality of the nature and they also undertakes in order to
protect the environment. For that purpose, they deliver this services in the community.
 Healthcare and public health: This types of services are generally provided by the
government of the specific place so that each and every individual of the society can get
treatment. Healthcare services are also offered by the third sector organisation in order to
provide effective healthcare services.

many public services in the community. Its one of the main aim is to overall development
of the children across the world. There are various other activities in which the
organisation is involved in through which they are focusing on to improve the welfare in
the community. Some of the activities of the organisation are disease prevention,
treatment to children across the world, promotion of education etc. These all activities are
related to the public services that are performed by the third sector organisation.

 UNESCO: It is the another main third sector organisation which is providing public
services to the individuals in the society (Hvidman, 2019). Their main aim is to enhance
the educations sector through which each and every individual in the country can make
maintain their standard of living.

Mainly the third sector organisation provides public services by collaborating with the
government officials so that they can maximise the utilisation of the resources in the market.
There are various ways that third sector organisation provides public services in the community.
One of the main ways through which they execute the services is of coming into the partnership
with the other non-profit organisation in the market so that they can effectively give the benefits
of their services to each and every individual of the society. It is one of effective ways in order to
carry out the activities such as education program, providing healthcare services etc. They come
under the agreement for a specific period of time and in between that time they they deliver the
public services to the people of the community (Carr, 2018). For example, UNICEF collaborates
with the various small third sector organisation in order to provide the public services to the
individuals in the community. Their one of the main is to provide education to the children in the
society. For this purpose they organise various educational awareness programmes in the
community through which they can increase the importance of the education in the unorganised
sector. They also undertakes some of the educational campuses in which they provide education
at free of cost. This is the main ways which helps them to provide the public services into the
community so that they can increase the welfare in the society.

There are various benefits that can be seen for using the third sector organisation for
public services delivery. These are described below:
 One of the main benefit in order to collaborates with the third sector organisation is that
they effectively provides these services to the people in the society. These organisation
are the non-profit organisation and wanted to increase the welfare of the community, so
for that they critically analyses the needs of the individuals in the society and accordingly
they carry out the actions.

 Another main benefits of these organisation is that they almost cover all the necessary
services that should be offered to the public (Kivelä, 2018). They include healthcare.
Education, housing facilities etc.
With the benefits of these organisations, there are various barriers and challenges that can
be seen in order to deliver public services to the individuals. Some of the barriers are described
below:
 One of the main barrier that can be seen in regards to the third sector organisation is that
they have to comply with the government authorities in relation to provide public
services.
 Another barrier or challenges that using third sector organisation for the public services is
of that they sometimes lack of enough resources in order to provide the public servces in
the community.
