MAIN BODY
Thesis
Raising an academically competitive high school child
Topic Sentence 1
Raising a child with strict rules and regulations as compared to raising a child leniently.
Support / Development 1
People thinks that these parents are very strict and their children were not allowed to do activities
like sleepovers, watch TV, play video games, play any musical instruments except piano and guitar
and some parents don't even allow that. Their style of educating states that only book knowledge
will help their child to grow and nothing else. They consider all this as a distraction for their
children. This can cause psychological trauma in the mind of children. (Kim and Jung, 2019)
Topic Sentence 2
It has been analyzed that western parents provide full freedom to their children. This supports them
in enhancing their lifestyle.
Support / Development 2
If a western child comes with a grade like A- generally the western parents will appraise as opposed
to a Chinese parent who will scream at their children and scold them very badly and ask them what
went wrong. They will get like 100 of practice test papers so that they won't get any grade below A+
in the future. They will only appraise their children when they stood 1st in the class. Chinese parent
thinks that what they think for their children is the best and their children should follow them
without asking them any question about anything. (Berg and Eaton, 2016)
Topic Sentence 2
Raising an only child as distinct from raising a child with multiple siblings
Support / Development 2
Some people thinks that only child is often spoiled and lonely as they don't have any siblings there
parents fulfill all there demands which spoils them, later there parents often find problems like they
have to fulfill all the demands of there child even if they are not in the position to do so. These
children are often found as lonely and they make imaginary friends like stuffed toys and talk to
them, so to remove this problem the parents should teach there child how to interact with others and
to make new friends. Compared to this parents with multiple children have other problems to deal
with. They have to prepared for both mental and physical challenges they are going to face with
there kids. They have to create equilibrium for all the children. These problem further increases
when the age gap is more then the parent have different needs to be satisfied for all there children.
