INTRODUCTION
Time management is a wider concept for each and every individual as managing duration
or a period will enable the individual in carrying their task within a specific time frame so that
the accomplishment of task can be done. The term “ Time Management” is refereed to as the
process of organising and planning of how the time should be divided among different different
activities. Proper management of time will enable the individual as well as organisation to
perform task in a smarter way not in the harder way. This report is based on the concept of time
management as well as the concept of learning. Learning is coined as the process of gaining or
obtaining the knowledge. The assignment focuses of the study effective utilisation of time in
proper plan of study and the obstacles which arises while managing the time. Additionally the
study also covers the importance of learning for foundation year students and how this theory of
dee learning can be developed.

Concept of Time management:
Time management is the way to organise and plan about how much time to spend on a
particular task so that the goal of the business get attained. To manage the time in the best
possible manner it is essential for the individual to break down their time slot among each and
every activity so that the objective gets fulfilled. Effective time management will also leads to
effective utilisation of all the resources as the time and the resources are limited in nature and
will be advantageous to the individual as this will bring more punctuality and discipline in
performing the scheduled task(Macan and et. al., 1990).
Benefits of the effective time management are as follows:
Effective time management will enable the individual to decrease the stress level as
effectively managed time will help them to perform the task in a relax manner which will also
assist them to achieve the short term goal of the business that is to enhance the productivity can
be achieved within the given time slot.

Proper and appropriate time management will also leads to boost confidence level of
the individual due to which the individuals present within the business firm will perform their
task in a systematic manner which will also lead to the achievement of the long term goal that is
to be recognised beyond the boundaries.
Managing time in the best possible manner will also leads to the accomplishment of the
aim and objective according to the time scheduled for these aims to be achieved. By this the long
term goal of the firm and individual will also be achieved as the task have been scheduled as per
the time require due to which the issues related to the completion of the work will be minimised
and the long as well as the short term objective will be attained systematically(Rapp, Bachrach
and Rapp, 2013).
Appropriate time management will also allow the individual in planning and
forecasting in advance about how the task is to be performed and which task is to be completed
on the prior notice which will automatically leads to the fulfilment of the business short term as
well as long term goal within the allotted time frame.
Suitable time management will also support the individual in grasping the opportunity
for their improvement and enhancement as the time which have been scheduled in a proper
manner to achieve the goal and objective will allow them in completing the task in the most
appropriate manner. Effective time management will also provide the individual with all those
opportunities which is available to them in the market so that the task can be completed within
the given time frame by the attainment of individuals short term and long term goals.
How it can help in the design of an appropriate plan of study :
Appropriate and proper time management will also help the individual in preparing
proper plan of study for the individual which has been mentioned in the provided case study. For
managing the time to carry the task one must prepare a schedule so that the estimation of the
time which is going to be incurred in performing the particular activity can be determined. The
student must focus on the preparation of the To Do List where they can enlist which activities to
be performed on the prior and which is to be avoided for the later on through which they can
identify how much time slot to be given to complete the particular task. For effective time
management along with the performing of job one must schedule the time for each and every
task so that the time limit for the specified task can be set and the work can be performed
accordingly with effective management of time(Panek, 2014).

Obstacles pertaining to effective time management:
Time management is a wider concept due to which it is not easy to manage the time
instantly. While carrying the procedure to manage the time there are number of obstacles which
arises and cause difficulty to manage time. Below mentioned are some of the barrier to the
effective time management:
Obstacles which is in front of the individual while managing the time is too many task
scheduled, this is a huge problem as this involves finite number of works which is to be
performed at that particular time due to which a state of confusion arises in the mind of the
individuals about how to slot the task so that each task can be performed with same amount of
efforts in the best possible manner(Eerde, 2003).
Too much interference while performing the task will also create a problem in front of
the individual to perform their task in the most suitable manner without wasting much time on it.
This will also lead to the reduce level of the productivity to perform the task.
Procrastination is also a huge problem which occurs while managing the time in the most
effective manner as in this the individual decides to perform the task which is of prior nature and
let rest of the task to be perform by the next day due to which the burden to perform the task on
the individual increases.
Techniques to overcome obstacles:
Make a schedule : Preparation of the schedule will enable the individual in deciding
which task is to be performed on the prior notice and how much time on that particular task to be
spent so that the problem of too many task be gets dissolve and the load from the individuals
mind get decrease.
Proper strategic direction : guiding individual throughout about the execution of task
by dividing it in a systematic manner according to the time which is going to be incurred while
performing the specific task will leads the individual to perform activity with their full efforts
and devotion due to which their personal goal as well as their organisational goals can be
achieved.
Thus, these points will leads to overcome all those barriers which are occurring while managing
the time in the most effective manner(Chen and et. al., 2014).

content as per their understandable level. This concept is most widely used in today's era as it
enables the learners to existing old knowledge into the newer knowledge context. This concepts
also helps in unlocking the knowledge and capability of the learners to learn the things in detail
and depth. This assignment is based on the study about the deep learning which is mostly related
to the high order thinking. Along with this, the study also focuses on the identification of the
importance of the deep learning for the foundation year student. Lastly the report will also cover
the explanation about how these deep learning concept can be developed.

Concept of Deep learning:
The concept of deep learning has been given by the professor Li, in China who stated that
deep learning is way of learning based on the understandable level. Deep learning is the method
of learning which involves high order thinking and focuses on the capabilities of the learners to
understand the content and also give more and more emphasis on the maintenance relationship
between the newer knowledge and the knowledge which is old so that the problems can be
solved in an effective manner. This concept was mainly established in order to find the
qualitative differences in the process of learning. Deep learning generally consist the primary
knowledge(Liao and Carneiro, 2016).
Importance of the deep learning for the foundation year student:
Deep learning plays a vital role in every one's life as this allows each level of student to
transfer their existing knowledge with the newer knowledge so that the better solution for the
critical problems can be obtained. This is very important for the foundation year students as this
will enable the learner of the foundation year to learn things after determining their capability to
learn new things with facts in depths. Deep learning also play a crucial role for the foundation
year students as this make them strong initiator so that the strong structure for the knowledge can
be build. This is also very essential for the students as this will provide them with all the

immense amount of the information which will help them in formulating the self adjusting
learning strategies. This would also support the individual in avoiding all the drawbacks and
outcomes may hinder their curiosity to learn and develop the new knowledge. As this concept is
many concerned with the primary knowledge it will provide the student who are studying for the
foundation level with the relevant and accurate knowledge which they can use further for their
development. Through this the students can also deals with the problems from their initial level
itself as this involves studying of the facts and new knowledge in depth if any error or problem
which they face from the point of starting to the end they can resolve it at they point of time only
due to which the time for the learners can be saved(Sohn, Lee and Yan, 2015). Some of the

 This will help the learner in Analyse, synthesize, judge, evaluate, generalize, hypothesize,
solve problems, relate, and apply so that the problems can be solved systematically.
 This will also support the students in creating their learning activities.

knowledge with the new concept of the knowledge.
 This will also help them in analysing the new ideas and thoughts in the most critical
manner so that the best application can be adopted and the solution to the problems can
be gained within a short period of time.
How deep learning could be developed:
There are number of step which can be used by the students of the foundation year to
develop their learning as deep learning concepts. Some of these point to developed the deep
learning are as mentioned beneath:
Connect : Create a community of learners:Creating a community of the learners who
are keen to learn new ideas and knowledge must be done so that each of them connect to each
other and inspire each other to achieve a success through which the concept of deep learning can
be developed and established . This will also create a value of deep learning to the students as
through the development of deep learning the learners will be able to identify their
capability(LeCun, Bengio and Hinton, 2015).
Empower: Activates students to lead their own learning: To create and develop the
concept of deep learning, the teacher here is required to empower their students with the topic
and must ask them to research about the topic and all the relevant facts and figures must be

gather through which the learner will focus on their high order thinking process and will study
about the topic through which the deep learning concept among the students will be developed.
Reach: Networks beyond school walls : To develop the deep learning among the
students here the teacher must allow their students to go beyond their classrooms and schools
walls through which they can build strong network and communicate with the public so that the
knowledge can be enhanced and increased as communicating with the public on certain topic
will also allow the learner to listen to different different view points of the public due to which
much knowledge will be gather(Deng and Yu, 2014).
Inspire: Personalised the learning : In this to balance and develop the deep knowledge
the teachers must focus on the adoption of the unique and attractive method to educate their
students in the collective form due to which the students within the classroom will feel inspired
and will focus on developing their deep learning. The teachers here must focus on the way of
providing the knowledge.
Wire : Make technology the servant, Not the master : Here the students must focus
more on the manual process of learning rather than giving their more emphasis on the use of the
technology to learn things. As if the students focuses more on the manual process their can
develop and build strong knowledge about the topic or any project as by researching
it ,communicating it with other by their own critical thinking,Which will help them in enhancing
their deep learning activity.
All these above mentioned are the prime points which will enable all the students to
develop their deep learning about the all new ideas thought and concepts so that all the problems
which are critical in nature can be solved in the best possible manner(Sutskever and et. al.,
2013).

From the above mentioned report it can be summarised that both the concept of time
management as well as the concept of deep learning plays a vital role in the life of the students
as managing time will helps them to slot all the task according to the time available to them so
that the goal can be achieved and deep learning will increase the understanding capacity of the
individual. Along with this the report also cover the study about various obstacles which have
occurred while managing the time and how those can be overcome. Additionally the study on the
importance of the deep learning for the foundation year students and how these can be developed
has been mentioned so that the knowledge within the individual about the new ideas can be
