INTRODUCTION
Time management is the process of planning and organising that how to divide time
between different activities. Good time management enable the people to work smarter and not
harder , and do more task in less time with less efforts. The report will give details about time
management. The importance of effective time management. The study will also details how
time management benefits the students in making proper study plan. The obstacles which are
pertaining to effective time management, and how they effect the time schedule of students. The
report further identifies the concept of deep learning and its importance for a foundation year
student that how it benefits them(Long and Barrall, 2017). And explains methods of how deep
learning can be developed. And further the report will draw conclusions based on the key points.
ASSESSMENT 1
Benefits of effective time management and how it helps the plan of study.
Good time management is necessary for doing any task. As everyone has 24 hours only
in a day. So it is very necessary to manage the time and divide among various activities. Time
management helps people to set priorities. Proper management of time helps to make conscious
choices, the student will spend time on those activities which are important at that time. Good
time schedule results in less wastage of time As for student proper management of time is very
important as many students do part-time job so for them making proper schedule is very
important. They have to divide their time as how much time is to spent on study and how much
should to spend job. Without good time schedule no task can be completed successfully. Poor
time management results in the loss as the students will not able to complete the study before
exams. The student becomes more productive by using improved time management skills and
tools and accomplish more with less time and avoid problems and distraction. When there is
proper management of time people will be more productive and give their best results. As they
will be calm and not get stressed because all the activities are planned according to time. Good
results comes only when all the tasks are planned properly(Noe and et.al.,2017).
Time management has great impact on students as those who are doing part time job also
they have to make proper time table. It benefits the plan of study as the student can make the
time table according to their subjects and study according to that. They can divide the time
according to the importance of subject and date of examinations. Prepares the list of task which
is to be accomplised during the day as according to priorities. Student can not study for whole

day or longer time so taking breaks between the task is necessary. Working in short duration give
more fruitful results. As when there is no proper time schedule students will be in stress as they
will not be able to complete their task on time, thus it impacts the overall performance. Proper
time management increases the work quality and raised the motivation level of the students.
Proper time table helps the students to accomplish more task in less time with lessor efforts.
Candidates are more focused on the subjects which they studying(Kharadze, Gulua and Davit,
2017). Giving more time to one subject and less time to others will not give desired results so
time management is necessary. Student will make a study plan according to the subjects and
date of exam, and manage the task according to their priorities, thus helps the student in making
study plans. Time table should be made in such a way that weaker subjects should be given more
time and effort as compare to other subjects. Proper time schedule assist learners in studying in
more organised and productive manner. Students will feel motivated and relaxed as their all task
are completed on time. Candidates who follow proper time table they will get fruitful results in
exams. And during the exam it helps them to manage the task as time is limited. So time
management is necessary.
Obstacles pertaining to effective time management.
As there are various obstacles which affect the time management. The students thinks
that they can do all the task assuming that more is better this affect the time schedule. Student
spend too much time on complete all task affects the work quality and time management both.
Stuck in one task for long - The another problem which the students has which affect the time
management is they get stuck in one task for long. Giving so much time to one task creates
problem as no time is left for doing other works. So to overcome this problem student should
make strategies so that id does not affect the time schedule(Alwagait, Shahzad and Alim,
2015).
Distraction- Candidates are distracted from their goals, as distractions are everywhere whether
student studies in college or at home. Which impacts the students goal such as social media,
television and society pressure. Now days mobiles is the main source of distraction. All students
are distracted by the mobile phones and waste their time(Nasrullah and Khan_PhD 2015). All
these things make student distracted from their goals which affects the time management. As
they spend more time on the activities which are not related to their goals.

Work load- As when there is work load the students are not able to handle the load, they will
be in pressure and not able to do particular work on time as which dis manage the time
management. Proper time should be managed by the students when there is more work they can
manage with time, so that the work can be completed. The student should must adopt measure to
handle the work load so that it does not affect the time management.
Habit of delaying work- Students have habit to postpone the task, they make task so delayed
that a task for a day is not completed on that they. It affects the whole time schedule of the
student. Student should not delayed their tasks as when all task are completed on time, proper
time management will be made.
Habit of not saying No- The main reason by which the time schedule is impacted is that student
don't have ability to say no. Whosoever ask for help or any other work they agreed, and thus this
waste their time and it affects the time schedule. Student should adopt the habit of saying no to
the people, they should not say yes to all. This waste their time and affect the time management
of the students(Alwagait, Shahzad and Alim, 2015).
Lack of problem solving skills- Problem solving skills is must for a student as, when they have
any problem and they are not able to solve that own. This wastes the time of student as they keep
stuck on that only. Keeping stuck on a single problem waste the time of candidate as they don't
have time left to spend on some other tasks. So students must have proper skills so that they can
solve their own problem and don't require any other for help.
Lack of sense of accomplishment- Time management is affected when the particular task is not
completed on time. As if one task is not completed the other task can not be started. So in this
sense the lack of accomplishment affects the time schedule.
Lack of energy- Energy management is as important as time management. Time management
can be affected by the energy level. As student will waste their energy on task which are not so
important and after that they don't have energy to do other tasks. Due to lack or energy it takes
longer time to complete a single time.

a) Deep learning
Deep learning is a type of attitude of learning, in which the learners will use its high order
cognitive thinking skills which includes:- proficiency of analysing, make judgements,
generalizing the concepts, evaluating skill, make hypothesis, skill of synthesizing the thoughts,

proficient in solving problems, ability to relate the previous knowledge to new one, and skill of
application of thoughts and knowledge. Every learner do not pursue their learning process by
analysing the thoughts critically. Deep learning involves the construction of thorough
understandability of different concepts and assumptions, then analysis of newly invented ideas
critically, further involves the skill of linking of previous knowledge to the newly generated one.
Deep learning mainly concern to pursue the learning process with conceptual and deep
understanding and the motive of deep learning is the generalization of learning outcomes in day
to day activities. It also aims to promote the application of understanding for life. Through deep
learning the knowledge of students or learners can be sustained for long term. Deep thinking and
learning benefits the learners by influencing the thoughts, acts and feelings of them, their
remembrance capacity also get improved, their skill of collaborating things get build up because
of following the deep learning as a process of learning.
It is because of deep learning that a learner became an inventor. Deep learning is the
generator of inventions and make the learners to integrate the conceptual knowledge and to use
their understanding in finding solutions of the problems. Deep learning makes the learners
capable in consolidating the new theories or principles in primary cognitive manner, deep
learning provide assistance to the learners in relating and transferring various thoughts and ideas
to any different context. It is purely depends on past knowledge and meta-cognitive skills of
transferring the knowledge to solve real life problems and to overcome from the obstacles. To
develop sustainability of understanding and knowledge, learners engaged themselves in the
process of deep learning to develop decision-making skill and learn to develop strategies for self
learning activities(Goodfellow, Bengio, and Courville., 2016).
Significance of deep learning for students.
Sustainability of knowledge-
Deep learning is important to the students of foundation year, as because it entails the
sustainability of knowledge as well as of understanding in students, so that they can make use of
that understandability and knowledge in their real life. The sustained knowledge make them a
knowledgeable person and make them to understand the things thoroughly. It is very important
to sustain the taken knowledge for long term otherwise the application of thoughts become very
difficult to the students. Sustainability of knowledge is very important as it decides the future of

the students, if their knowledge and understanding will be uncertain and remain with them for
short period, then they can't perform any task promptly.
Keep Motivated-
Deep learning assists to keep the students motivated for their life goals. A motivated
student can achieve the set goals with enthusiasm and make their understanding strong and are
able to be initiator to take their life decisions at their own. Motivation keeps students encouraged
and make them challenge acceptor. Learners who follow the process of deep learning are the one
who used to be motivated as because they think differently and have the ability of making any
kind of situation favourable for themselves. Study goals of the students can be achieved easily
and on time, when they being motivated for the objectives of the study.
Develops cognitive skills-
Through deep learning the students can develop cognitive skills in themselves. The
overall development of learners can be assured by make them to follow the deep learning
approach. Cognitive skills of learners includes:- analysing skill, proficiency in synthesizing,
ability to judge, proficient in evaluating ideas, generalization of thoughts, problem solving
ability, skill of relating and application of principles and concepts. Development of cognitive
skills in students is the positive outcome of deep learning, and be possible through motivation
and sustained knowledge of the learners. Cognitive skills develops the intellectual ability of the
learners as they can take the decisions at their own and takes responsibility of their decisions.
Integrate the knowledge(LeCun, Bengio and Hinton., 2015).
Its is important for students or learners to follow the process of deep learning as because
of this process of learning they generate the ability of integrate the knowledge gained in past to
the knowledge of new concepts and theories and can make the application of such concepts in
their own life and can establish link between or relate their previous knowledge to their current
understanding and at the same they become capable of differentiate the outcomes and results
from different kinds of theories and concepts. Integrate knowledge is important in the way to
conclude the knowledge and to find the solutions of problems in complex situations.
Knowledge Enrichment-
Deep learning has its importance in student's life, as the knowledge of learners or
students get enriched by adopting the approach of deep learning. As the cognitive skills get
developed in the students/ learners, in which they will try to analyse the different situation and

Deep learning entails the development of conceptual understanding in the learners of
foundation year. As the in-depth understanding of the concepts helps them to relate their current
knowledge of concepts from that of the past knowledge of the concepts and approaches, which
can be assured only through the adoption of deep learning approach and by analysis and
evaluation of such concepts.
b) Development of deep learning.
Creation of learner's community-
Deep learning can be developed in the learners by inspiring and encouraging them to
support the success of others as well. By providing assistance to the learners for directing
themselves at their own, and by building the positive attitude of understanding of rituals and
culture of the society. For developing deep learning the creation of community of learners is
important as it reflects their knowledge and create the ability of collaborating with others. When
the learner get appropriate guidance from their mentors then it will assist them in developing the
cognitive skills through deep learning(Liu, and et.al, 2015.).
Developing self- learning ability-
To develop deep learning approach in learners, it is necessary to develop the ability of
self-learning in learners. By self learning process, learners' understandability gets developed and
it will sustain in their mind for long term. Development of self learning process in learners
improves their thought process and make them more concentrate about gaining the deep
knowledge of different concepts and approaches. This will also help the learners to make use of
their understandability in the application of gained knowledge.
Establish personal connection with content-
Developing deep learning in learners, the mentors need to make them (learners) to realize
the connection with the contents, which may includes:- concepts, approaches, different subjects
etc. Integration among all the subjects will improves their thought process and make them feel

the connectivity with subjects and can related their thoughts with their past knowledge and can
understand better the on going task. Further can apply the conceptual knowledge in their real life.
Drilling of Thoughts-
Deep learning can be developed in the learners by drilling the thoughts further and in-
depth understanding of the task better which help in the all round development of the student.
various attributes must be followed which enhances the learning capability of the students
various methods like video learning can help the better performance of a student. Deep learning
can be achieved by the various tools used for students like mock tests, online tests which can
help in all round development of the student various learning techniques must be used to make a
student aware of the subject research papers and projects make them improve with the subjects
and topics which can help in the development of the student. Areas of various modes where the
focus is needed they need to be carried out. Fun learning activities can be developed which can
motivate the students and help in deep learning of the student. This will develop a leadership
skills and make a student grow and make aware towards the topic. Various difficulty level will
achieve the learning reach of the students and help in the development of the students. Team
work practice must be provided to make them aware and show the common interest and help
them to grow by seeing other students developing interest which will help them in the growth
and development(Nielsen., 2015.).
C)Conclusions of deep learning.
Deep learning is very important for students as it give students the more details of any
study. Deep learning helps the foundation year student in such a way that they have knowledge
about all the subjects as they have done deep study of the subjects. Deep learning promotes
understanding and applications for life. Deep learners reflects on their personality that what they
are leaning.
CONCLUSION
From the above study it can be concluded that time management is important for doing
tasks successfully. By proper time management all task will be held properly on time and gives
desired results. The study further concludes that proper time schedule helps the student in
making proper study plan. As students will study according to the time schedule they will study
in more desired and organised way. Further the report concludes about how various obstacles

schedule as all task are not done on time and also impacts the performance of students. The study
concludes about the deep learning as deep learning helps the students to gain more knowledge
about the subjects. The study further concludes that Deep learner have different personality as
what they learnt is reflected on their personality, deep learners are sensible people.
