INTRODUCTION
Time management refers to an ability to use the time productively and effectively. It is a
process of exercising and planning the conscious control of the time spent on particular activities
in order to enhance productivity. Time management is attained by allocating time on the basis of
activity and priorities. Time management is helpful in business to solve issues which arises in
daily basis operations (Chukwu and Mahajan, 2014). In this study essay will outline about
appropriate suggestions which are made in article on time management.
1) Suggestions made in article on time management
Time management refers to coordination of activities and tasks for increase effectiveness
of efforts of a person. It is a process of exercising and planning the control of time that spent on
particular activities for enhance effectiveness and also productivity. On the other hand, time
management is meta- activity which is managed with an aim to attain set activities within limited
period of time. The first suggestion is related to organised, according to which it is important for
the people to arrange work according to priorities in organised in proper manner (Goetsch and
Davis, 2014). On the other hand, it is essential to put the necessary documents in the folders. It
will help in unnecessary searching as well as save the time.
The second suggestion is related to Don't misuse time. At workplace, employees should
not kill their time in gossiping as well as loitering. They should concentrate on their work and
finish that in given period of time. If a person will not waste time in unproductive work then
he/she can save more time and use it in productive activities. The third suggestion is related to
focused. It is important for employees or group to focus towards their work in a proper manner.
Through this they can able to perform work in significant way. On the other hand, it is necessary
for an employee that it should focused for the better management of time. Under this, an
individual should develop their habits of using the calendars, planners and organisers for the
purpose for an effective time management. Focusing on task-in-hand is significant as it avoids
the mistakes which people normally commit due to lack of concentration. It will save time as
individual do not have to waste time in correcting their mistakes (Kaplan and Atkinson, 2015).

There is some suggestion already made in article related to the time management. These
all are helpful in managing the time according to set activities in significant manner (Nawrot and

management. I firmly believe that if a person wants to increase own productivity then there are
two ways of doing it. First is to minimise wastage of time and second is to use given time in best
way possible, which can be done by keeping focus on present situation. It is necessary that
management should develop a plan and then divide the activities with in proper period of time.
Through this, employees will focus on attaining the activities without wasting or misuse the time.
On the other hand, focus an agreed recommendation. According to Goetsch and Davis, 2014, I
have learnt that focus is very important because if an individual will be focused towards work
then it can able to perform its activities in an effective manner. It develops positive impact on
performing work in personal as well as in professional life.
I am not agreeing with the suggestion of being organised. I have seen many people who
are not too organised by they manage their time in an efficient way. Being organised is related to
making and following plans but someone we are involved in those activities which can be
planned (Nespor, 2014).
3) Other suggestions you would like to make
According to the article there are three different suggestions are made such as Don't
misuse time, focused and organised. Other than this, there are some other suggestions which
need to be make. The first suggestion is to Use planning tool, planning is helpful in doing work
or performing activities in a systematic manner. It is helpful in make improvement in
productivity of an organisation as well as individual. The management should make records of
information on tool and review planning tool on daily basis.
The other suggestion is Stop multitasking, in this management should assure that employees
should do single activity at a time (Time Management, 2019). Through this, time will be
consumed in a proper manner and also activities can be done properly. If in case employees will
try to do many activities at one time then in this case more time will be consumed and activities
will not be performed in a better manner. The third suggestion is related to set the priorities in a
better manner. In this, it is necessary that an individual or employee should know it priority and
try to complete it first other than anything. For this, employees should develop a list and also
note the necessary and urgent work first. In addition to this, management can help staff members
to evaluate their responsibilities which are depend on urgency and to encourage them for
finishing task with first and foremost priority. The fourth suggestion is concerned with manage

external time wasters. Under this, time can be impacted through some of the external factors
which are imposed through other people or things. In addition to this, management can eliminate
or reduce time spent in activities through executing meetings, using mail, telephone etc.
CONCLUSION
It has been concluded from the above mention essay that time management is necessary
to performing all activities within set time period. If the time will be managed in proper manner
then there will be no issue faced through an individual or an organisation. It is necessary for
management to take some appropriate actions to manage the time in a proper manner.
