PART A
Introduction
Time Management is the personal skill that have been chosen for completion of
the report. Time management can be defined as the skill set that helps in driving the
thinking process in a rational manner as per the allotted time. This skill set helps in
making efficient and accurate decision making within a destined time period. The major
benefits of possessing time management skill set is namely understanding the amount
of time that is to be allotted for a certain job. Proper evaluation of arguments as per time
have been another aspect that acts as a benefit. Proper detecting of different
inconsistencies that might arise are considered and hence wise schedule development
is considered. According to , it have been seen that time management have not only
been acting as a major prospect for performance of the employees but also the
productivity of the organization have been increasing as well. It has been seen that
there are several business that had not considered time management as an important
factor. This have led to mismanagement of time and this affected in meeting the
deadline of the organization. It has been acting imperative that the organizations have
been training the employees regarding time management (Chapman and Rupured
2014). The competition in between different organization have been have also been
getting decided due to the time management of the employees of the organization. It
has been seen that time is tied to each and every activity of the organization. Hence
with proper time management process, the efficiency in the working process increases.
Finally, it can be stated that information from reflection can be gathered and hence wise
this ensures that there will be proper understanding of the evidence regarding the

importance of the time management skills. This report will also be discussing about the
benefit of time management in the field of productivity. The method that have been used
in the process of developing the skill is also stated. Proper understanding of the effects
that the efforts have brought is also properly discussed in the section. Proper theoretical
support is also provided.
Body
Importance of the skill
Time management have been acting as one of the major aspect that is
considered to be an important prospect. It is seen that the time that is present in
completion of different tasks have been very less. It have been seen that employees
who have been utilizing their time to the fullest have been performing in the best
manner and hence wise receiving promotion gets easier. Hence wise finding a way to
utilize the time to its fullest have been one of the major aspect that is to be considered.
Again with the help of proper time management better scheduling of tasks can be
performed. This ensures that the scheduling process have been performed as per
proper time management (Grissom, Loeb and Mitani 2015). This scheduling process
ensures that the result that is received is highly efficient in nature. With proper time
management, the tasks that are to be done will be bettering the working process.
The decision making ability of the individual increases. It can be stated that time
management is directly proportional to the better time management process. It have
been seen that in case there is absence of sufficient time in the operational process,
drawing conclusion gets more difficult. Hence concluding process gets more difficult and

the decision making process gets affected (Crawford 2014). In case the time
management is performed in a proper manner, better understanding of the concluding
point can be made. Hence the decision making process gets easier.
Having a stable work life balance have been another benefit that is received due
to proper time management. With the help of proper time management the main
advantage that is to be gained is that the tasks are completed within a proper time and
hence wise there are presence of added time. This ensures that the time that will be
excess in hand will be providing a better work life balance.
Fields that get affected by the time management skill
Production department is highly affected due to the presence of time
management. This section ensured that there are 3 steps that are to be taken for
performing time management. They are namely analysis of time. In this section, the
major aspect that is considered in the process is that proper analysis of the time that
has been spent is done. In this section the pent time is considered. This consideration
of the time that is spent and the time that is left for completion of the production process
acts beneficial. Calculation of time average ensures that direct usage of time can be
made (Grissom, Loeb and Mitani 2015). Lastly, another factor that is considered in the
process is that the amount of time reducing is also calculated. In this section, the main
aspect that is considered is that the time that have been unproductive in nature during
the operational process have been considered.
In production process, time management is considered as a tool that ensures there is
that there are several benefits received by the production process. It has been observed
that in today’s working process, time management is used as a Pyramid of Franklin.

This Pyramid of Franklin is divided in 6 major stages (Häfner, Oberst and Stock 2014).
The stages are namely planning for a day or week, performing middle term planning for
1-2 months. After this section, long term planning is performed. This section ensures
that the data management is performed in a manner that planning for 3-5 years will be
made. After this process, the general process of achieving the goal can be considered
and performed. After this process, global goals of the production organization is also
considered. Basic values of life is also cultivated in the process of time management.
The major benefits that are present in the processing of the business
management includes standardized floor operation. It is seen that the operating
procedure have been providing a better assessment of the task completion time period
and this is one of the major aspect that is to be considered. This section ensures that
with the help of time management, the main benefit that is received is that proper
assessment of the working process get scheduled (Jo, I.H., Kim, D. and Yoon 2015).
This section also ensures that the production line has been getting affected in a positive
manner. This have been one of the major aspect that is to be considered. This section
also includes the fact that better assessment of the production process as per the
planning process is performed. Thus it can be stated that the planning gets performed in
a manner that better assessment of the scheduling and processing will be performed
(Jo, Kim and Yoon 2015). It acts important for all the employees to stay aware of the
time that is allocated for particular tasks. This ensures that implementation of
standardized time management have been another aspect that is considered.
Analyzing of production line have been another aspect that is considered in the
operational process. This section ensures that proper tie management is required in

performing examining of the product. With the help of proper time management in the
production process, the tasks are supposed to be getting completed by the allotted
deadline (Moen 2018). This is one of the major aspect that is to be considered. This
consideration ensures that even after completion of the production process proper
testing phase can be implemented. This can be performed only if time management is
performed in a proper manner. This is the main advantage of the entire process.
Incentivizing the payment system have been another major prospect that is to be
considered. It is seen that in case proper time management is performed in a better
manner, the main aspect that is to be considered in the section is that with the help of
proper time management, the time that is required for completion of the task gets
decreased as efficiency in the operational process increases. This section ensures that
the production target can be easily met and hence wise overshooting the target gets
easier. Hence getting incentives gets easier. It have been observed that several time
management trainings are provided to the employees so that the time management
process is performed in a better manner and the production process gets performed in a
manner that the production management process gets performed in a better manner.
Methods that have helped me in developing and bettering the skill
One of the best ways to improve the time management skill is to delegate task.
This section deals with the fact that tasks are taken more than the potential of oneself.
In case the tasks are taken more than the potential of oneself and it is practiced in
regular manner, increase in potential is seen in the process. This increase in potential
will also lead to proper assessment of time management.

Understanding and prioritizing of the tasks have been one of the major aspect
that is considered important for increasing the time management prospect. This is one
of the major aspect that is considered in the process (Nawrot and Doucet 2014). In case
the priority of the tasks are set, then it will be easy for me to analyze the tasks and
hence this will be bettering the time management process, with understanding the time
that can be allotted for each task, I will be able to complete the task within the deadline
of each task and this will be improving my time management skill development.
Scheduling of task have been another practice that was made through out. This
section ensures that I have been performing scheduling of tasks in a regular manner.
This scheduling process ensures that I was properly developing the skill of planning.
This planning process ensures that the time management process have been better as
well. I have been making lists of the tasks that are to be performed.
The best practice according to me that I have performed is that I have been
setting unrealistic deadlines for myself. It is stated that with the help of unrealistic
deadlines being set and trying to complete the task within the deadline have been
helping in proper performing of time management. Hence cultivating the ability of
performing tasks in tight deadline will be helping in developing time management
process.
A major issue that is present in the operational process is multi tasking. Multi
tasking have been affecting the time management process as well. Hence I have been
trying to reduce the multitasking and focus on a single task at a time. I have been using
the to do list for decreasing the multi tasking process.

Starting early and sincerely is another practice that I have been cultivating since
the very beginning. This cultivating of the habit ensures that the data that are collected
will be imposing a higher efficiency. This section ensures that the habit if completing
tasks in deadline will be cultivated. In case tasks are initiated since the very starting,
completion of the project gets easier. I have also been practicing a habit of taking
regular but small breaks.
How effective the efforts have been
The efforts that have been used by me in the process have been highly efficient
and this is one of the major aspect that is to be considered. It is seen that with
delegating the tasks have helped me in maintaining the better time management
process. This have helped me in working in stress. This stress management have been
helping in performing time management. This have been helping in bettering the time
management process. With the help of prioritizing of work another aspect that is
considered is that my ability of performing scheduling of tasks have got bettered. Setting
up of unrealistic deadlines have helped me to work under high stress. This have also
helped me in performing better time management. This time management have helped
me in performing better association of task scheduling under high stress. I have also
incorporated the quality of not performed multitasking and this have been benefitting the
focusing process.
Conclusion
From the above discussion, it can be concluded that time management have
been one of the major aspect that have been acting important in the operational process
of production. Tis is considered to be important as with the help of time management,

the main advantage that is received is that better processing of working ethics can be
maintained. It have been seen that with the help of proper time management, the main
advantage that is received is that the assessment of the business processing have been
getting better. There are certain advantages that are received due to developing of time
management. The major advantage that is received due to time management is that
stress management is performed in a better manner. This stress management will be
ensuring that better assessing of processing of time management is to be performed in
the production process. Again it can be stated that I have been working hard on proper
assessing of the time management process. I have been avoiding performing multi
tasking in order to develop the skill of time management in a better manner. I have also
been trying for years to incorporate the time management skill. I have been highly
benefitted due to development of the time management skill. This time management
skill will be helping me in future as well. Performing in production sector time
management is one of the major aspect that is to be considered. Hence I am satisfied
with the skill incorporation. This skill set will also be helping me in having a better work
life. Work life balance have been another advantage that is received in the process.

Introduction
Operational management is considered to be an important aspect that will be
helping in performing administration of business. The main job role of operational
managers is to perform develop highest level of efficiency in the operational
process. The processing is concerned with converting of material as well as labor into
goods and services that will be directly or indirectly contributing to the revenue
generation of the business organization. Maximizing of the profit of the organization
have been another major aspect that is considered in the operational process.
Balancing of cost and revenue have been another major domain that is used for
achieving highest operational profit (Annarelli and Nonino 2016). The basic assessment
that is to be made for understanding of the operational profit is that the management of
the business practices and hence wise create a high level of efficiency in between the
organization one is working for. It have been seen that operations manager have been
concerned with utilizing the services that are present in the organization to the fullest.
The major goal of the operational managers is to increase the efficiency of the working
process. This working process ensures that the management of labor cost as per the
turn over made is neutralized. Increasing the operational profit have been another
aspect that is to be considered (Chaplain 2018). The operational managers are
responsible for acquiring, developing and delivering the goods to the clients based on
the demands of the clients. Satisfying the demands of the clients as per the initial
requirement have been acting important. Reducing the waste that is generated in the

operational process have been another major task that is to be performed by the
operation managers. Finally the report discusses about the challenges that are faced in
the working of operation managers. This report will also be helping in performing better
assessment of what I would have done to eliminate the challenges. This report will also

Job description of Operation Managers
Managing overall operations and successful management of labors have been a
major aspect that will be providing better assessment of the functional process of the
business organization. It is stated that efficient and safe functioning have been another
aspect that acts as a major role in the operational process. Enhancing operational
procedures along with eficient operation have been another aspect that is to be
considered (Cook, Husband and Boxall 2016). Carrying out of supervisory management
have been one of the major aspect that is to be considered. Aligning the work process
with the organization policy have been another aspect that is to be considered.
Applicable laws are also considered in the operational process.
Other responsibilities of operation manager includes the likes of interviewing of
new candidates and selecting among them. Setting of training arrangements have been
another job role of the operation manager (Escalante and Uribe 2015). Thus hiring new
employees and setting training programs have been some major job roles of Operation
managers. Assigning tasks to different team leaders and other employees have been
other major job role of the operation manager. Addressing the employee performance
have been another job role. Addressing employee performance have also been acting

2014). This budget development is acknowledged by the higher authority and this helps
in proper assessment of the business process.
Communicating then expectations that are laid from the employees are performed by
the organization. This section also ensures the fact that the management of the
business process will be heavily getting affected. This affecting of the business
processing due to the communication process is considered as a major job role of the
operation manager. Enforcing new policies in the functional process have been another
aspect that is to be considered (Heizer 2016). This consideration includes the fact that
better management of business process is also performed in an efficient manner. It is a
responsibility of the Operation manager to analyze the working process of the
organization and hence wise planning policies as per the requirement of the business
(Kato et al 2014). This requirement of the business policy will be ensuring that proper
management of the working process will be required.
Preparation of complete action plan have been another major aspect that is to be
considered. This consideration includes the fact that there is a better assessment of the
audits that are present in the operational process. Forecasting of business requirement
have been another aspect that is to be considered in the operational process. Analyzing
the working process and hence wise assessing the resources that will be required can

be known. This knowing of the resources will be ensuring that better management of the
operational processes (Mahadeva 2015). Analyzing variances and identifying of trends
are also required in the operational process. Performing schedule arrangement have
been another aspect that is to be considered in the business process. Performing cost
benefit analysis of the operational process also falls under the job role of operation
manager.
Performing proper analysis of product handling have been another job role of the
operational manager. This section ensures that the inventory management is also
partially checked and performed by the operation managers (Reid and Sanders 2019).
Proper maintaining of the healthy relationship in between the employees of the
organization have been acting beneficial as well. Updating job knowledge have been
another major aspect that is to be considered. This considering of the job process have
been acting important in the process. Accomplishing the organizational goals that are
set by the higher authority of the business management can be stated (Tofighi et al.,
2014). Ensuring that meeting of the operations labor budget expectation acts important.
It have been seen that employees of the organizations have been the building
blocks of the organization. Hence renewing of contracts have been one of the major
aspect that is to be considered as an important aspect. Contracts of the employees
have been one of the major data that is to be monitored. After monitoring the entire data
sheet, proper management of the contracting system is to be considered.
Maintaining vendor, internal and external stakeholders have been acting
important. This have been one of the major aspect that is to be considered. It have been
seen that communication in between the internal and external stakeholders have been

acting important in the business process. Even maintaining the customer relation with
the business organization have been an important job role of the organization. Hence
wise analyzing the issues that are present in the operational process and
communication process ensures that a proper relation is established. This
establishment of relation has been ensuring that better data management is performed.
Analyzing the issues that the customers have been regularly facing have been
considered as another job role of the organization.
Operation Manager also acts as a bridge in between the higher authority and the
working team. The data are generated during the working process is also collected.
After collecting of the data the same is provided to the higher authority and this is one of
the major aspect that will be benefitting the assessment of operational process of the
functional process. Hence wise communicating the messages that are transacted will be
well assessed and hence this is one of the major aspect that will be controlling the
operating process.
Operational challenges of a successful candidate
The major challenges that are faced by the operation managers includes the likes of
Globalization, sustainability, Ethical conduct, System Design and Effective
communication.
It have been seen that due to globalization, the main aspect that is considered is
that there have been an increase in competition among the operation managers of
different organization. This section includes the fact that the time that is provided to the
operation managers have been less and hence this have been affecting the execution
process of the operation managers. The time that is provided for the project initiation,

project planning and project monitoring process gets affected in a negative manner.
This is the sole reason that affectivity of the working process will be getting affected in a
negative manner (Tofighi et al 2014). It is also seen that the accuracy of the working
process have been getting affected.
Another issue that is present in the operational process has been providing a
better assessment of the resource management process. It can be stated that the
resources that are present are to be protected in a manner that the management
process have been getting affected in a negative manner. The three pillars of
sustainability that are to be considered are namely social, environmental and economic
prospects. The operation manager needs to consider all the three pillars for proper
assessing of the tasks. Outcomes of the three pillars will be affecting the entire
sustainability of the process. This sustainability process ensures that the data that are
present in the sectioning will be highly systematic and in case the data analysis of the
resources present are not performed in a proper manner the entire sustainability
process will be getting affected. In case even one of the three pillars get affected, the
entire operational process gets affected. This is one of the major aspect that is to be
considered.
Maintaining ethics in the operational process have been one of the major
challenge that is faced by the operation manager. It have been seen that transparency
in the business process both internally and externally have been one of the major
aspect that is to be considered. Maintaining transparency in the communication process
have been one of the major challenge that is to be considered. This consideration
includes the fact that better proposition of accounting system will be providing better

sectioning of the data that are to be provided. Again in case it can be stated that being
ethical amidst all the activities that are to be performed in limited time will be affecting
the business process. This business process will be ensuring the fact that there is
complete maintenance of the safety of the people who have been working. This ensures
that the data that are collected will be acting as a major challenge. Unethical behavior
regardless of the origin of the employee will be charged and hence this will be affecting
the ethical aspect of operation manager. It have been seen that unethical behavior have
been one of the major issue that might be resulting in demise of successful corporations
like Enron, Tyco and other organization.
Performing effective communication have been one of the major aspect that is to be
considered. It is seen that maintaining communication process plays an important role
and in case the communication is not performed in a proper manner. This section
ensures that in case the communication process is not performed in a proper manner,
the entire job role of the operation manager will be getting affected in a negative
manner.
Addressing the issues and Recommendation
These are the issues that can be faced under any circumstances by the operation
manager and this is one of the major aspect that ensures that there are chances that
the operation manager will be facing these challenges. For eliminating these issues
there are certain aspects and recommendations that are to be considered. This
considerations are as follows: -
 Perform planning before hand: This process of performing project planning
before starting of the project will be ensuring that competition due to

globalization can be maintained. This maintaining of globalization ensures that
there will be proper performance of the operation management tasks.
 Using lean project management can be implemented: With the help of lean
project management, the wastage that have been generated is tried to be
reduced. This reduction in waste management will be helping in increasing the
sustainability of the process.
 Maintaining data sheets and updating the same in a regular manner will be
increasing the efficiency of the process. This increase data sheet maintenance
have been increasing better management of ethics related issues.
 Maintaining a better communication process in a hierarchical manner have been
one if the major aspect that is to be considered. With better maintaining of
communication process ensures that the data that are to be transacted in
between the employees will be performed in a better manner.
Conclusion
From the above discussion, it can be stated that the business processing
required implementation of Operation managers. Hence it can be stated that the job role
of Operation Managers have very important and this importance includes the fact that
there will be proper assessment of the business functional process. This have been one
of the major aspect that is to be considered. This consideration includes the fact that the
efficiency in the working process gets bettered. This bettering of the working process
ensures the fact that operational process of a business is hugely diverse in nature. In
