Time management is defined as procedures of planning and exercising time
control which is spent on particular activities for increasing efficiency,
effectiveness and productivity (Trede, Macklin and Bridges, 2012). It is referring
to a set of skills, tools and techniques utilized to attain specific tasks, projects and
goals. In order to manage work in business, it is very important for respective
organisation to have proper strategies. The different time management strategies
are as follows:
Set Priorities- It is very important for employees working in any
organisation to manage their time for priority and less priority work. This helps
them to manage time for urgent work in effective and efficient manner. According
to this strategies, if there is both important and urgent work then it should be done
first then less important work. This leads to gain control over time and reduce
number of significant work that do become urgent.
Setting work objectives- Work objectives are results expected from
employees such as budgets, accuracy, quality and speed during a certain time
period. A time management system needs more effective working objectives
which can help an individual to achieve success. Setting work objectives involves
a continuous process for decision making and research. It’s necessary for a person

personal planning tool for improving productivity (Zepeda, 2013). This includes
pocket diaries, electronic planners, wall charts, notebooks, computer programs,
index cards, calendars. These tools help respective organisation to manage their
