Q1. What's going on?
The senior developer attends a meeting with the project manager
and shares the progress report of the project. The project manager
queries about the software as the deadline of the project is near and also
the team needs to deliver a quality project to the client ("Scenario 1
Overseas Codeshop", 2018). The senior developer explains that the
software will be completed within few days, and also the team has already
made three versions of the required software, each with different aspects.
The developer also explains the manager, that once the software is ready
the all the three versions will be sent for oversea testing and once the
results are given by the oversea testers the software will be provided to
the client, within the given deadline. The project manager is bit concerned
about the senior developer using resources for three different versions,
instead of using all the resources for a single version (Quinn, 2014). The
project manager is also worried about the software being tested overseas,
as the tester are trusted or not, and if they provide proper report of the
software of the crashes and other issues of the software’s. The developer
clarifies that with all the pressure the team had been put on, the project is
going on the right direction, and he himself has tested the codes.
Q2. What are the facts?
The senior developer and the project manager having a meeting on
the progress of the project.

to be ready within few days(Day, 2015).

The issues of the project manager are that the team working on the
project are preparing three different versions of the software, where as it
would be better if all the resources were being used only for a single
version. One of the other issue is the testing of the project by the over
sear testers (Warren, & Lucas, 2016). The project manager is concerned
about whether the tester will provide best reports about the lags and
crashes in the software. The issue of the senior developer is the time and
version of the software which is to deliver.
Q4. Who is affected?
The project has three different versions of the software, and also the
testing is done by some untrusted overseas developer. Because of this the
project is not developed properly and the client gets unsatisfactory
results. As a result, the company fires the project manger and the senior
developer of the team (Crane & Matten, 2016).
Q5. What are the ethical issues and their implications?
Leadership: This is one of the key ethical issue in an
organization. In this case the project manager if can lead the
team by properly ensuring and taking the right decision, can
make the project a success (Zhu et al., 2015).
Fundamental rights: The fundamental right for any employee
in an organization is being respected and dignified by seniors.
In this case it can be seen that the project manager
understands the develops prospective and leads the
developer in right direction.
Understanding issue: The project manager understands the
issue of the developer and explains what is best for the
betterment of the project.
Decision making concept: The developer being not much
experienced took a wrong decision, but the seniors respected
the decision took by him and made him understand the faults

The developer would have not taken the decision of developing
three versions of the software being prepared and would have consulted
the project manager to better understand of the project.
Q7. What are the options?
Option 1: the project manager explains the senior developer that
why it is necessary to develop only one version of the software and
use all the resources for that particular version. Also, the manager
requests the project developer that after the software is ready the
software can be checked and tested internally by the employees.
This will provide better results about the problems and crashes of
the software and also the manager can keep an eye on the reports.
As a consequence, all the members are given training about how to
use the software and check for results. The software is developed
and tested in time and quality project is delivered to the client
within dead line.
Option 2: after the meting the project manager gives a call to the
manager of the company and explains that the team working on the
project is not working properly and they are developing three
different versions of the software’s which is not required. The
manager is concerned if firing the entire team is a good idea or not,
and in the end excepts the words of the project manager. As a
consequence, the entire project team is fired, and new team gets
hired. This process takes a long time and the project is delivered
delay breaching the agreement with the client.
Option 3: The project manager praises the developer for the idea od
developing three different versions of the software and testing them
overseas. Although thee project manager has some gut felling about
the same but approves it. As a consequence, the software is not
developed properly, and erroneous project is delivered to the client
with bugs and crashes (Pullen & Rhodes, 2015). This costs the
project manager and the senior developer with their jobs and career
in the company.
Q8. Which option is the best and why?
The best option in this case is the option 1, where the manager
explains the senior developer about the needs of focusing on one single
version of the software and testing it in the office by the employees
themselves. This option is best because, the client gets the project in
time, the software gets well developed and tested by trusted sources. This
