Introduction
Logistics management is the subpart of supply chain management. Under logistics
management, an organization makes a framework to store its goods with effective and
efficient measures. Logistics management performs the good cycle between the point of
origin and the point of consumption to satisfy customer’s requirements (Ben-Daya, Hassini &
Bahroun, 2019). The selected company for this report is TLC aged care. The company was
founded in 2015 and operates in Victoria, Australia. The vision of the company is to provide

Firm-level functional integration to supply chain integration
Firm-level functional integration to supply chain integration will help the TLC aged
care to enhance their flexibility level in order to conduct operations as per requirements from
the parameters of the residential care (Formentini & Taticchi, 2016). From the perspective of
supply chain integration, it is important that TLC aged care should be flexible for adopting
changes in different situations. Firm level functional integration operates with the primary
aim of linking more effective elements of the supply chain to ensure that the demand of the
residential care people is completely satisfied in terms of cost, time and availability (Dubey,
et. al., 2017). Firm level functional integration to supply chain integration process will help
the TLC aged care to establish the effective coordination between their internal departments
so that at the time of adverse external effect, all of their department can act with the mutual
coordination for outperforming the adverse effect on the organizational performance
(Christopher, 2011).
As TLC aged care has a different function such as gymnasiums, virtual reality, TLC
café, on-site medical corners, etc. TLC aged care can also perform the functional integration
function between their Homestead Lakes and The Homestead (Copacino, 2019). Moreover,
as per the announcement made by the management, it is concluded that TLC is going to
combine Homestead Lakes and The Homestead into one location which will be named
Homestead Estate. Apart from this, the company can also incorporate quality management
with supply chain integration at the firm level (Hugos, 2018). As better-quality management
at the internal and external level within the domain of supply chain management will help in
showing the better-quality management practices because it will deliver enhanced quality,
financial services, better inventory management performance of the firm, etc (Christopher,
2011). Apart from this, there should be coordination between technical factors and

coordination of resources sharing such as information sharing, work collaboration, trust, etc

From single to multiple market-driven supply chain strategies
From the perspective of the TLC aged care, the multiple market-driven supply chain
strategies incorporate the industry framework, unique value proposal, managerial focus and
internal process. Industry framework refers to the interaction of suppliers, customer,
technological development and economic factors that put positive or adverse effects on the
functioning of the company (Lambert & Enz, 2017). It is important that the company should
operate in the market with multiple market-driven strategies so that it will help them in
gaining competitive advantages (Jabbour & de Sousa Jabbour, 2016).
Here, lean supply chain strategy will help the company in this approach. As this
strategy defines that TLC aged care should remove waste or unwanted component between
the process of their supply chain. When the management will rush to remove the unwanted
component then they it will be directly implies to reducing the cost of production. Apart from
this, when management will focus on the application of the lean supply chain strategy then it
will also beneficial for them because while cutting the cost and while removing the unwanted
components then it will also help the management in cutting the maintenance cost with
effective and efficient directions. For example: if the company noticed that there are 100
unwanted chairs with tables in their logistics departments because it kept for the future use.
Now through the application of lean strategy, the management can choose to remove these
unwanted components because in long term it will reduce the maintenance cost of the
company for these items. Apart from this, management can also choose to rent out these
components instead of selling or entirely removing it.

Moreover, market driven strategies are also important from the point of view of
operations of the company because of several factors such as cost focus, cost leadership,
focusing on the demand of the customers, analysing the market supply forces, etc. All of
these factors are important because they are linked with competitive strategies. These same
can also be helpful in single to multi-level market-driven strategies (Christopher, 2011).
Apart from this, the company should focus on keeping a strong supply chain with effective
day to day operations. For example: the management of the company, should monitor and
check periodically the performance of the equipment so that they can systematically monitor
the performance of the machines (Pettit, Croxton & Fiksel, 2019).
Identifying customer and market forces through network competition
The basic need of the customers of the TLC aged care includes financial security,
health care, self-actualization, personal security and maintenance of proper hygiene. As the

management. Apart from this, it is also concluded that supply chain integration from firm

increases competitive and customer satisfaction. However, the demand of the clients of the
company is related to the financial security measurements, hygiene maintenance, health care
facilities, etc. It is also observed that external market forces have less impact on the company
because the company operates in guidance of the government management cycle.
