1. Introduction to SOP
The introduction of SOP within the organisation would be made with the help of making
the employees to properly understand the processes of the business scenario. The planning for
the introduction of SOP could be done by planning a meeting with the CEO, stakeholders and
workers of the organisation. I would produce a report of the entire SOP to the CEO of the
organisation. After a formal conformational pass from the CEO, I would then plan the next
approachable step. This could be done by producing a hand-out to the each of the concerned
employees within the workplace.
2. Discussion
Based on the inclusion of new kind of procedures within the workplace, it could be
discussed that there would be an improvement in the processes of work. I would understand the
concerns of the employees within the workplace and educate themselves with the new kind of
procedures. I would conduct presentation sessions and face-to-face conversations with the
employees. Based on conducting such sessions, I would be able to make them understand the use
of SOP. I would also ensure the understanding of SOP and the need for compliance with the
SOP. This training would be needed based on the needs of the implementation of the new
working system.
Some of the methods that could be introduced based on ensuring that the performance
would be monitored in order to ensure the adherence to SOP are:
Establishing of two-way communication by responding to the concerns and needs of the
workers.

Ensuring that management would move beyond normal regulations to ensure safety
within the workplace.
Encouraging workers to move beyond the prescribed call of duty.

Celebration of success with recognition programs for the workers
Based on the proper implementation of SOP to the different work units, it could be
recommended that feedback should be sought from the working employees. This could be
performed by conducting a survey from each of the concerned employees who would be affected
by the use of SOP. A manually conducted feedback should be sought from each of the personnel.
This feedback should comprise of such kind of questions, which would be able to able to assess
the basic criteria’s within the SOP.
We should be able to understand the availability of resource based on the development of
competency. This would be needed because:
To understand the work activity and the involved factors.
Understand the particular skills that would be needed to perform the work
activity.
Conditions based on which the work activity would be conducted.

3. Conclusion
A contingency plan would be extremely beneficial for the creation of planned form of
responses based on certain events, which would adversely impact the benefits of the
organisation. This kind of contingency plan would be needed to allow the warehouse to perform
their daily operations such as listing of products, sorting them as per the delivery dates,
identification of shipping staff and thus minimizing the customer inconvenience. Based on the
development of the contingency plan, the new SOP could be developed. This plan should be
firstly approved by the CEO and concerned stakeholders based on which the SOP would be
developed.
