The total Quality Management can be having an essential as well as beneficial impact
on the employees as well as the organizational development. The primary focus of the TQM
helps in improving the customer satisfaction and it will be beneficial in meeting expectations
of customers thoroughly. The CEOs need to implement the TQM in the company which will
be helpful for the following:
It will be increasing the overall awareness of the quality culture within the company
which will be including the commitment of the employees in the company. The quality
improvement in different aspects in the company will be shown in everyone’s job in the
company and it will be implementing success in the company’s objectives (Coyle-Shapiro,
1999).
There should be proper training provided to each and every employee to effect the
changes in the culture and attitude of the different employees who are working in the
company. When there will be satisfaction among the different customers, it will be beneficial
in providing the customers with utmost satisfaction and it will be impacting the overall
performance of the company successfully (Coyle-Shapiro, 1999).
It is helpful in meeting the competition as the different techniques of TQM help in
understanding competition and develop the effective kind of combating strategy. It will be
generating the opportunity to the company for meeting competition through resorting
techniques of TQM.
Answer to Question 2
The employees play a beneficial as well as important role in the process of total
quality management as it will be increasing the outcomes of TQM. It will be requiring the

employees to include their decisions in the process of achieving the higher level of
productivity. The employees are more likely to implement as well as support decisions they
had part in making. The empowerment of the employees is the key element which needs to be
adopted by the companies as empowerment means the transferring of the responsibility of
satisfying the needs of customers thoroughly and the employees have the capability in
satisfying the needs of customers.
There should be inclusion of the motivational techniques which will be beneficial in
providing their opinions regarding the TQM as it will be generating the ownership. When the
different employees are involved and aligned with business, the vision as well as mission
statements can be achieved by the company and it will be capable of making the company
successful (Coyle-Shapiro, 1999). There should be timely feedback that needs to be generated
by the company for making the employees feel that they are the integral part of the business
and it will be making them feel that their opinions are valued.
Lastly, enabling happiness all around in the workplace is the other major element
which will be appropriate for providing the considerate amount of proper feedback that will
be capable of making the employees feel that they are valued. The participation of the
different employees and there are different motivational tools such as Maslow’s Hierarchy
theory and Herzberg’s Two Factor Theory are the elements which will be beneficial in
improving the success (Coyle-Shapiro, 1999).
