TOUR OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
A Tour operator is an individual who is responsible for creating holiday packages
by combining tour and travel elements together. Additionally, there key
responsibility is to advertise and produce brochure in order to promotes various
holidays and itineraries. There are four types of tour operators which are
mentioned below:
Inbound Tour Operators- these are the individuals which responsible for
providing itinerary planning, product selection and coordination with reservations.
Domestic Tour Operators- These operators provide tours to the local
residents of the respective country. These operators are well versed with the
domestic culture, food and other aspects.
UK Outbound Tour Operators- The Outbound tour operators of UK deals
in multinational tourism. The respective operators sell products and services to the
domestic customers who wish to travel different countries.
Specialist Tour Operators- The respective tour operators are responsible for
providing services to the customers who are interest to travel in a particular
geographical area or special activities.
The Current/Recent trends and developments in tour operator industries are as
follows:
Advancements in technology- The modification in tourism operator
industry has played a major role for the industry growth. As technology is one of
the key requirement in every sector to fulfil the needs of the customers, there have
been various technological advancement which are available in the market such as
TC Tours, Pacific, etc. which helps in easing out the process of tourist operators of
lb Tours and customers such as accommodation booking, activities booking,
custom packages, itinerary creation, etc. Along with this, technology has helped in
maintaining effective communication with the international customers as well.
The payment methods have also become easier through online transfers, credit

The Effect of Brexit on Tourism- Brexit has caused a huge impact on
tourism of United Kingdom. The devaluation of British currency will lead to have
less visitors from UK to places like Europe and Germany. This is because the
service will result in being more expensive. However, the negative impact of
Brexit will lead to reduce the number of visitors to United Kingdom which creates
a doubt about the growth of tourism in the respective country. Additionally, the
European Common Aviation Area states that there would be no restrictions for the
European Flight operator to travel to EU country, however few companies would
increase their price. Hence, these increased rates will create a hurdle for lb Tours
in earning more client age to these respective areas.
Increased environmental awareness and Responsible tourism- Sustainable
tourism is the new form of tourism which focuses on reflecting less impact to the
environment. There are various direct and indirect impacts of tourism which
effects the biodiversity and cultural heritage of the respective area. Hence, it is the
responsibility of lcb Tours to educate the customer about these matters and guide
them to preserve the nature and maintain the city cleanliness and preserve the
natural monuments. As it is the nature and history of the location which helps in
attracting more customers.
