SECONDARY DATA ANALYSIS 2
Secondary data is used to review the present status of the tourism industry to
apprehend the connection between the tourism and environment and also to compare the
revenue earned from both domestic and foreign tourism (Coenders & Ferrer-Rosell, 2020). In
tourism, the secondary data is mainly collected from the published books of tourist statistics,
publications from world tourism organizations, articles published related to tourism, peer-
reviewed journals, and the official website for tourism. Information obtained from the
government sources is of good quality and credible and should be considered during research.
As a group, we used the secondary data to identify the research problem, build a selection
plan, and articulate an appropriate research scheme related to tourism (Mehraliyev, et al,
2019).
Books also serve as a good source of secondary data. As we were carrying out our
research, we searched for books that dealt with tourism and also, we considered the year of
publication. Another source for the data we collected was the peer reviewed journals.
Journals are updated regularly and therefore provide more specific and updated information
(Teixeira & Ferreira, 2019). Journals related to tourism provides more accurate and reliable
information that will be very vital during our research. However, information also can be
sourced from websites which are regulated and share authentic data that is trusted by the
researchers. The library contains secondary data tools for researchers. It contains all the
important and relevant materials concerning tourism.
