Description:
The purpose of the paper is to develop a mobile app named “Escape Travel”. The
discussed mobile application is a tourism application that takes will assist the tourist in their
tourism schedule. The most prominent feature of the application will be its capability of
scheduling the tour apart from the basic features such as the map, GPS support, searching
hotel and others (Kim et al., 2015).
Justification:
Studies have shown that 85% of all the mobile applications have tourism app installed
in them which can be taken in consideration to cite the interest of the tourist in mobile
applications (Kim et al., 2015). Different mobile apps are offering tourism assistance
however, none or very little of them offers support for tour scheduling and reminding which
is one of the most desired features of the tourist. Hence, it can be stated that the demand for
the tourism app and the need for tour scheduler can be taken in account to justify the
proposed project.
Market Similarity:
Imobdev technologies Pvt Ltd. is a mobile application development company that
have earned a reputation in the market because of its offering. The considered application
developers are known for many applications however, the most prominent of them is the
TravAlarm (Jada, 2017). The discussed application has earned positive reviews from the
users and is one of the most prominent tourism application. The offering of the application
various from guiding the tourist to customer assistance. The guiding tools that are part of the
GPS that assists in positions, map that guides with the directions, weather meter that cites the
weather of a particular location and others. While the customer assistance tools include,
search options for hotel, restaurant, purchase of tickets, transportation and other benefits.

However, the discussed application lacks one of the most prominent feature which is one of
the most desired feature is the tour scheduler which will be the most valued feature of the
proposed application.
Simulation:
The process of the “Escape travel” starts when the tourist logs into the system and
enters their details. The details are collected so that the app can devise a rough portfolio of
the tourist and their choices. Following that the place they wish to travel is enquired
depending on which the tour schedule of the tourist(s). The tour schedule of the tourist
includes the recommendations for the places that are the speciality of the place of tour and the
time that is most suitable to visit them. The tourists will have the option to make manual
adjustments in the schedule and change it according to their comfort. The schedule can also
be set to deliver a notification for the place and time of visit according to the planned
schedule. Additionally, the application will act as a guide for the tourists during their time of
tourism through GPS maps search option and others. Though, it should be noted that the
features of the application except for the tour guide will be manual and the user will have to
enable them to use it.
