INTRODUCTION
As it is known tourism is one of the largest sector of economy in the world. Cruising is
the fastest growing sector in tourism. It make an effective contribution to local, regional and
economic organizations. It is basically a voyage on ship which could be done for the purpose of
chill-out in free time to refresh mind from daily life activities. In 1844, P&O firstly introduced
passenger cruising from England to Cairo founded by Arthur Anderson. The first luxury cruise
ship named Prinzessin Victoria Luise was built in 1900 by Hamburg-America Line. This report
is about the experience of different people in tourism and environment of cruise. It will also
involve what innovations are there in cruise industry and what is the management style there.
The report is also contain a personal reflection about what is the live experience of travelling in
cruise ship, what are facilities or management there and how actually innovations are there in
cruise industry.

Experience at Cruise
Until a person experience a vacation in a Cruise, it seems to be risky as there are
hundreds and thousands of people at a huge ship in the middle of the ocean. But there are enough
things to do for fun such as: visiting beautiful destinations, clubbing, dining at a celebrity chef-
affiliated restaurant, surfing the internet and many more. People feel safe and secure there. They
chose Disney Fantasy for spring trip with there children. People experience a neat, clean and
healthy atmosphere there. They feel relaxing getaway by chilling in pool, having luxurious
dinner, having personal balconies, spa, lounge and having the best times for their kids. The
rooms there are well furnished in reasonable price with no complaints(Paiano, Crovella and
Lagioia, 2020). The service there is so amazing either it is cleaning or sanitizing.
Experience economy model
People in today's generation are often searching for something adventurous. It is the
concept refers to the experience of people which they get after spending their money at any
thing. This give them the opportunity to feel the live and real experience. They become able to
get in touch with the local people and this will help them to enhance their knowledge about any
place they visit. Cruise could also be used by people for such experience as people experience

things there visually and also able to listen and touch things. They are also able to maintain
healthy relationship with the local communities of the destination they visit.
Innovation at Cruise
As it is known innovation management is very important for the success of any industry.
Cruise keep regularly upgrading in to innovations to maintain its customer base. As the industry
was suffered a lot of problems in the technologies and lack of image, it try hard and develop
innovative things which are genuinely attracting and relaxing and are perfect to celebrate free
time out of the daily boring, working life. This is only possible through the strong management
of innovations in the industry. The industry keep exploring the market and changing desire of its
customers and other people. This will help it in making new innovations or upgrading the old
techniques. Cruise keep checking at different behaviour of people so that it could adapt changes
accordingly(Marasco, De Martino and et. al., 2018). There is a well maintained management
system of innovation at Cruise as per the reviews and real life experience of people.
Innovation and its importance in tourist and cruise environment
Customers are becoming smart and possess high expectations. They want everything in a
reasonable price with good service and they feel valuable. In context to tourism they wants to
fulfil their basic needs for food, air, water and others. As their demands are increasing Cruise
lines could improve their services. Innovation helped a lot in doing such improvements. It help
the industry in earning more profit and stability. As it was lacking security and image in the
market due to which its profitability was declining, it consider that now innovation is the only
way to overcome this problems(Papathanassis, 2020). Cruises are now using more technologies
to give more facilities to its tourists. They are providing with televisions for entertainment,
restaurant for food, music hall for dancing and many more. As per the demand of passengers,
they was integrating smart digital technology which was also enabling its staff to maintain their
connections with thousands of people in abroad. Cruise Liverpool tends to overcome with
problems associated with safety and security of travellers and its employees. They developed
hospitality facilities in the ships, so that if someone have any issue regarding health could take
treatment from these facilities.
The industry is started the most amazing things and possibilities for customers. They can go just
about anywhere. Cruises also added some beautiful destination for visitors which sounds more
attractive and adventurous(Pencarelli, 2020). As many of people have a list of places they want

number of newly added destination in cruise to fulfil the desires of its customers. As the
individuals of this new generation have more desires and expectations about certain things, they
need something which is more than ordinary. They keep using social media and looking for the
new adventurous places to visit. Cruise is regularly keeps upgrading and introducing something
new for them. As ship cause major harm to natural resources, Cruise is planning to design its
ships more friendly to environment. They are trying not to run ships on batteries as there is major
need or wastage of power in case of charging its batteries(Papathanassis, 2019). In off-seasons
the company provides offers or discounts to its customers. It could be beneficial for the people to
save their money and enjoying the same destination at reasonable costs. The industry make
efforts to satisfy single traveller as they are travelling solo, there are chances that they would
visit again and again as they are not afraid to travel alone. Cruise also provide a separate cabin
for those women who are travelling alone as the director wants them to make safe, secure and
comfortable.
Latest innovations or technologies adopted by Cruises Virtual Balconies: It is a new concept which allows the travellers to enjoy the real time
view and the sound of sea waves via a LED fitted 80 inch ground to ceiling high, display
screen fitted on the wall of cabin. The screen is fit for the purpose to give a natural look
of balcony and is continuously displaying videos from which are gathered from the
cameras fitted outside the ship(Ahn and Lu, 2021). Magical Pothole: The cabin are also designed with the Disney Dream and Disney
Fantasy in their two ships featured with amazing porthole. This is possible because of the
cameras which are fitted outside the ship. These are the real reflections of ocean view in
the staterooms for the passengers which could be switch off when they want. Disney
characters are also visible on the porthole screens to add visual pleasure. Facial Recognition: It is a form of biometrics which is generally used in the two ships of
Disney cruise line – Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. This is technology which
captures pictures and videos and Disney sells it to the passengers. This technology is also
used to playing sideshow of passengers in front of them. This will allow the customers to
take the memories of ship along with them(Ahn and Back, 2019).

North Star Capsule: It is a glass capsule which is fitted in Royal Caribbean's two new
cruise which help the passengers to see any upcoming destination. It is jewel-shaped
fitted 300ft above see level for a 360 degree view. Guest are allowed to experience this
North Star Capsule at three premium packages which could be available at advanced
packages.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it could be concluded that Cruise is the fastest growing sector in
tourist industry and is now continuously growing. The industry was facing many problems
regarding the security, safety and facilities for its passengers. But as per the demand of its
customers Cruise adopted some of the major innovations to satisfy the needs of its customers and
also earn profit, growth and image in market. It is using visual balconies, magical porthole and
others as some of the latest innovations. The industry also focused at the desires of new
generation and added more new and adventurous destinations to the path. To overcome the
environmental issues Cruise is also planning to avoid the use of batteries so that it could save
power. As the industry tried well and still trying to add things as per the demand of its customers,
it is becoming the demand of majority of youth and the people who wants to spent their holidays
peacefully.
