The word tourism is related to the short term travelling in which people go to different
places, in order to explore new places in different regions. This report is about the concept of
tourism industry and its importance for the growth of the, as it gives various types of benefits to
the local business of the tourist places. Switzerland is one of the best tourist place, it has various
attractive location to visit and also have beautiful mountains and lakes. It also attract the people
towards its culture, varieties of foods and its natural environment (Chan, Nozu, and Cheung,
2020). There are various factors of the external environment which affect the functioning of
Switzerland's industry and also have severe impact in both positive and negative way. This report
also discusses about the elements or the micro environment by which people choose Switzerland
as best tourism location. There are different types of components or factors around which all the
tourist industry revolve, these elements are the support system for the smooth functioning of the
industry. Many people or organisation who is responsible for the growth and development of the
tourism industry of the country. So, tourism industry is helpful in assisting the people, so that

Tourism industry is the set of different business organisations who are involved in
providing the facilities of travelling to the people for the different purposes such as for business,
vacation, etc. This industry works in issuing all kind of amenities to tourists who are involved in
this industry for tour purpose. The main objective behind the promotion of tourism in any
country is that it give opportunities to the people exchange their culture and values with each
other. Nowadays, growth of sustainable tourism has been seen in the tourist industry which work
in fulfilling the demands and expectations of the tourist by considering the safety of natural and
economical environment of the country (Dogru-Dastan, 2022). There are various reasons by
which sustainable tourism development is necessary for any tourism industry like increase in the
profitability, improvement in economic and ecological condition of the regions. Different
principles has been formulated for the effectiveness of this concept which gives the opportunity
to avoid the over utilisation of natural resources and keep them safe for the upcoming generation
too. It also enhances the importance socio-cultural value of the tourist location which allows the
industry to run for the longer period of time. With the help of these fundamentals, country can
work in saving its natural resources and various life forms of different regions. Tourism principle
prevails the idea of enhancing the growth of attractive infrastructure in the various places in the
form of cafes, restaurants which depicts the importance of sustainability to the visitors (Yi,
Yuan, and Yoo, 2020). For this Swiss tourism industry can take help of the government authority
and can start different programmes which make it easy for them to inform the people about the
necessity of sustainable tourism development in the country. Pandemic has badly affected the
various tourism industry and to recover such situation it is important to follow all the guidelines
regarding the safety of the people. Many country has restricted the travelling of the tourists after

contribute in tourism industry. Tourists are the supreme stakeholders in this industry, as these are
the one who contributes in the wealth generation and economic development of the country. If
they will get better experience during their travel then it will increase the goodwill of the
particular tourist place. Use of social media strategy promote the destination to the larger section
of the people by offering them different advantages of the travel. Arrangements of meetings by
the companies are also helpful in assisting the growth of the tourism industry and allow to take
necessary decision in this regard. Hiring tourism employees by the travel agencies is unique
initiative in supporting the tourism of the country. Swiss tourism must satisfy all of the above
discussed stakeholders to increase its demand across the world, it is important for the country to
consider all the rules which are imposed by the the government of the country for the smooth and
proper working of the industry.

simplifying the activities of tourism industry like voice recognition tools to identify the location
and direction while travelling the different places. Technological advancement also assist in
reduction of cost of workers in the tourism industry, but this leads in increment of
unemployment. For the protection of properties and natural habitats from damages, different
laws and rules has been imposed by the legislative bodies of the country by imposing fine or
penalties on the people. But it also limit the range of area to travel which could be a great threat
in the prosperity and development of the tourism industry of Switzerland as it reduce the tourist
places in the country. People works more on improving the natural surrounding to present the
good image of the country across the world, they focus on plantation of more trees and convey
the same message to the people who travel their. But tourism creates pollution and disturb the
lives of endangered species who are living the natural habitats, which is not a good thing for the
ecological environment of the country. It is important for the country's tourism industry to
consider all these factors while taking any decision regarding the alteration in the policies.

in travelling well constructed buildings or infrastructures and some luxury hotels then

major threat in the effective working of the country's tourism industry. With contribution of
hospitality sector company can work in attracting more people to visit the country by providing
