Tourism is a term which is related to travel and is done with the purpose of pleasure or
business (Garay and Font, 2012). In Nepal, tourism is the largest source of generating foreign
exchange and revenues.
1.1 Overview of the Research
Present research report is based on tourism sector and their impact on small business
which often describes as the movement of people away from home to other places as per their
interest, it's one of the largest and fastest growing industries in the world.

CHAPTER 2: Literature Review
Impact of tourism on economy of Nepal
According to Karki, (2018), Tourism sector is being considered as one of growing
department of Nepal. In the year of 2011, contribution which was given by Nepal tourism on
total GDP was approximately 6.8% and raised employment across 2.4% (Tourism pumped
Rs177b into Nepal’s economy, 2017). Thus, it can be said that tourism has impacted positively
on Nepal's economical conditions.
Benefits of tourism on Holyland Guest House
According to Scheyvens and Russell, (2012) there are ample number of benefits that has
been given by tourism to hotel industry of Nepal. Some of benefits of tourism on Holyland Guest
House are given below:
High number of visitors means sales of services (accommodation) of Holyland Guest
House will improve.
As firms are producing Quality products it results in grabbing attention of more and more
visitors who are visiting the country. The increased economic gains can be utilised to
keep infrastructure and technology updated with the external surrounding.
Holyland Guest House's deliver goods and services to customers as per their
requirements which helps in increasing in profile of the business.
Techniques that can be used by Holyland Guest House to improve profitability
Total Quality Management: This is one of crucial approach that may aid Holyland Guest
House in improving its performance level. Looking at services like cleaning rooms, providing
quality food can help Holyland Guest House in grabbing good position (Font, Garay and Jones,
2016).

Continuous Improvement: The process of continuous improvement in hospitality
organisation attempts to enhance the manner in which operations are carried out. It aims to
improve processes and technological on a continuous manner to deliver quality to people.
CHAPTER 3: Research Methodology
In this section there are different tools used by the researcher in order to gather data so
that gaols and targets can be achieved related to the study. Data collection comprises different
methods and techniques that an investigator uses to gather adequate information for research.
Primary and secondary are two forms of data collection which are described below:
Primary data- It is efficient technique which help researcher to gain accurate facts and
information. Interview, survey, observation, etc. are various examples of this method (Jaafar and
Maideen, 2012).
Secondary data- This is another tool which comprises books, journals and newspaper that
are used by investigator in order to collect facts and figures which are already available.
