Tourism and hospitality sector is wide as well as it is growing fast which result in
development of economy. By providing employment opportunities to unemployed peoples and
increasing ratio of tourist visiting. Thus, such things result in overall growth of travel agencies,
hotel, restaurants and other organisation related to the same sector. Information and
communication system is that which assist organisations in doing their work within effective
manner without facing major issues. After working on group report it has been identified by me
that information and communication system have both negative as well as positive aspects. Thus,
positive aspects are ICT (information and communication system) help tourism and hospitality
sector in maintaining relation with their customers or guest. As per my opinions it has been
analysed that satisfaction of customers are more important for business firms which can be
possible when services are provided to them according to their needs and wants. Because this is
the only way and within hospitality sector customers are from worldwide level as well as their
satisfaction play important role for organisation.
Thus, development in technology result in changing structure of tourism industry. Same
as information and communication technology advancement provide assistance to respective
sector and change the working structure of overall industry. Because with the help of ICT it
become easy to directly communicate with customers and provide them information related to
several things as per their requirement. Along with this, it has been identified by me that
everyone have some issues same as hospitality and tourism sector customers also have which can
be resolve through same technology by sitting at their place. As already discussed by me that
tourist are visiting different nations but before that they place their booking of hotels, guide and
so on which become possible for respective sector by implementation for Information and
communication technology. So it has been identified by me that working style of tourism and
hospitality industry get changed as development within technology named as information and
communication system take place. Thus, main thing identified by me is that implementation of
Information and communication technology result in doing work in effective manner within
respective sector.
From this report, I got to know about different innovations and technologies that are
adopted by travel and tourism industries for attracting more number of customers. There are
various ways in which technology helps this industry but on the other hand, there are also
negative impact of technology on this industry as well as on clients and customers. After doing

this research analysis, I am able to understand that the most important benefit of Information and
communication technology is online booking. But for implementing this facility, the travel
agencies, hotels, travel agents, etc. have to hire more number of people who can directly talk to
customers and solve their queries. Also, these hotels and agencies have to invest more for
organising online booking system and software in their companies. As the increase in
technology, the number of customers booking trips online has also increased. Therefore, I have
analysed that for handling all these customers it is important for the company to manage all these
customers effectively. According to me, these companies have to provide training and
development sessions for increasing the capabilities of their employees to impress customers
and convince them for using services provided by travel and tourism companies. In information
and technology technology gadgets, internet is used always used. Therefore data must be secure
and it should be protected from virus and different malware. For this the companies have to
install expensive software so that data of customers must be protected. I think it is an external
expense to the company. The data includes transaction details, personal information of client,
etc. I think people are more likely to use online communication for booking purpose and there is
no direct contact with the travel agent or service. In this way people are not able to express their
feelings and emotions in an effective manner and I think this has led fr people to become
introvert and individualistic. The use of internet has reduced the physical distance between
people but this doesn't mean that emotional distance is increased in some aspect. I think all
individuals are busy in their own world and they do not care about the real world problems.
There must be face to face talk to the person who is planning the trip and stay but by using the
information and communication technology, the person has to provide all information online and
rely on websites for their trip planning. This is easier but sometimes it can be used by cyber
criminals to make people fool and take money from them. I analysed that travel companies are
using technology for booking trips of many tourists who can be from anywhere in the world. If
the system of company hangs or stops working, then there is no way by which the company can
provide good service to people. The trainings and development sessions provided to employees
must be effective so that they can solve queries of people and make them satisfied by clearing
their doubts.

enhanced which help me in doing work on such technology as well as it help me in getting better
future opportunities and advantages related to career. Thus, overall research help me in
improving my working skills and enhance knowledge related to travel and tourism sector or for
technology also of information and communication system. Apart from this, its negative aspect
