a) Specifications of a work station and furniture that meets ergonomic, and work health and
safety (WHS) requirements
In order to prevent people from injury, it is very necessary for tourism industry to provide
better health and safety measures. They have to provide the best furniture and other equipment’s
which are more efficient, reduce work related injury and increase job satisfaction. All the queries
related to ergonomic and workplace health and safety measures must be reported to the health
and safety officer of the organisation.
b) Conservation techniques focusing on reduction of waste and energy/resource conservation
To reduce wastage and energy consumption three techniques can be undertaken:
Better process control:
Bringing change in the working procedures, machine operating instructions can be
processed to increase their efficiency. Further waste can be minimized by reusing the disposals
which are not contaminated.
Use of new technologies:
Using modern technologies in performing various activities can reduce waste. For
example, use of mobile phones and new techniques can help in reducing paper work specially in
case of tickets. Further, transportation vehicles can use better machines which help them to
reduce fuel consumption and helps in reducing pollution.
Equipment modification:
Equipment modification at destination places as well as in hotels and vehicles can help in
minimizing consumption of energy resources. Hotels can use electric equipment’s in their
kitchen instead of fuel consumption vessels.
c) Ethical requirements and constraints in collection and use of data
Ethical requirements in data collection requires permission from community from which
it is collected. Further, it requires various plans and better understandability of people concern
and views. It is very necessary to make plans before collecting data. The main constraint for data
collection is that it cannot be suitable or make no sense for collection of data.

Effective time management plan is used to put words into actions. Furthermore, different
skills like presentation, technical and leadership are used to increase the efficiency of the work.

My primary career interest is marketing within Tourism industry where I can use my
skills to attract more customers and enhance my skills.

Statistics on sector employment trends:
Tourism industry has employed 460,000 people in the country and it is still in
requirement of skilled and talented candidates (Jakubik and et.al., 2016).
Technology skill requirements:
Technical issues come when website crashes or hanged. So, I will require good website
operating knowledge. Further, tourism fails when bookings, accommodation facilities fails.
Therefore, good communication skills and computer operating techniques so that people cannot
face any issue while booking for tourism related activities.
Impact of emerging technologies on career development
Emerging technologies have helped in increasing knowledge and remain update with the
world. But it has also brought depression as it has increased competition (Dean and et.al., 2017).
Analysis of Job opportunities:
Tourism contributes 4.7% in the GDP of Australia so there is large scope of job
opportunities in the country. Further, government is also looking to develop the business
operations of tourism industry at greater level (Kaatz and et.al., 2016). It has developed various
vacancies for hiring appropriate candidate.

websites which helps in attracting more customers. Further, it directly impacts on the economy
of the country also because most of the people are using internet and social media websites in
their daily life (Baum, 2016). E-business has also played significant role in increasing the
attraction of people. It provides all the information of different destinations like accommodation,
transportation facilities etc. which encourages the customers to visit the place.

Queensland Tourism Services Act 2003 for the delivery of tourism products in Queensland
The main aim of this act is to provide fair trading in tourism industry and develop registration
