1.1Explain the legal and regulatory
framework of the travel and tourism
sector
Legal framework: Legal framework includes the rules and
regulations which are used by tourism sector to control their day to
day operations. It is broader system including laws and rules related
with the sector. The tourism sector is increasing day by day so to
control this there are various laws related with it. Tourism sector is
now a big part of economic growth of a country.
Laws and tourism: Law and tourism both are different concepts but
apply at the same time in tourism sector. The concept of law include
protection of consumer rights, environment and safety of the
individual. Tourism include gives full value and service to the
individual who is travelling from the various modes of
transportation. Every country have different kinds of rules related to
the tourism sectors.

1.2 surface, sea and air transport law in relation
to the carriage of passengers within the legal and
regulatory framework
There are various laws related from the surface, sea and air
which are as follows:
1. Air law: Air transport involve various laws and legislations. Under
this there is a provision made that there is a right to the passenger to
claim a compensation in case of death or personal injury. Under this
the passenger checks the luggage before the journey started and after
the journey also and the passenger can claim a compensation in case
of loss to the luggage during the activity of travelling.
2. Surface law: The surface law involves that the passenger can
claim the compensation in case of harm to his luggage while having
the course of travelling by road (bus or rail). The remedies can
include the damage to the passenger or their luggage. The rail
legislation focus on contributing the development of transport of
