INTRODUCTION
Equality in the tourism is very important as this helps the visitors to have better
interaction with the different destinations. By having the responsible tourism it used to maximize
the local communities in the market and serve best to the culture. The aim of the current project
is to know about the better participation and equality in the tourism sector. This is considered as
the important topic as this makes them know about the issues while having participation in the
tourism sector. As there are various issues which are concerned with the equality, access and
participation in the tourism industry. The current report will outline issues related to same. In the
first chapter the report will put focus on the understanding of issues and debates that are basically
related with the equality, access and participation. This will make to know about the importance
of topic for the development of global destinations and how tourism used to have impact on
equality and poverty. By not having the proper and sustainable tourism it used to have negative
impact on the people and thus leads to have poverty in market.
As the tourism sector expect too much from the people to travel but everyone has its own
culture and tradition that impact tourism sector. Further this report will outline the background
information of the tourism industry by using statistics to know about the accessibility of
international destinations. This will include the impact that used to have increase in the tourism
on the stakeholders. In the second chapter the report will outline the discussion on the emergence
of the new markets that are in the tourism industry to increase consumers needs and motivation
to travel. In the last chapter the report will indicate the impact of tourism industry by taking
consideration into equality in the tourism sector. This will also include the positive and negative
impacts on the global destinations and in society by using the different laws.
FIRST CHAPTER
Evaluating background information of development of tourism industry by using statistics
The tourism industry is defined as the industry that includes the total and overall
businesses that used to provide goods and services to improve the business and perform better
activities for the tourists. It is very important to have the accessible tourism as this used to enable
the person in order to participate and enjoy the experiences of their selected destinations. The
tourism industry has grown and developed in the various countries by having the rich and
cultural heritage. The main reason behind the development of rise in tourism industry is that
people used to have more paid holidays. The travelling in UK has become easier and cheaper

which help them to visit better destinations. As most of the people used to have their and other
motorways which helps them to travel and have fun. The development of tourism has made the
consumers more accessible and it has become easier and cheaper for them to visit over the
countries. The tourism sector of India has developed a lot because of its rich and unique heritage
in the world. People used to visit various types of destinations which makes them know about the
different cultures and have better tourism experiences.
The above statistics shows the total contribution of the travel and tourism sector in the
GDP of UK from 2012 to the forecast this 2028. By the happening of pandemic the tourism
sector has affected a lot which used to have great impact on the economy's GDP.

The pandemic has affected the lot as this has decreases the GDP of tourism and have
triggered the international destinations. Tourism used to generate the development and provides
jobs and other businesses to the people. This sector used to have direct contribution of 4.4% of
GDP and 21.5% in service exports. From the above data it can be seen that Spain used to
contribute 11.8% of GDP and 52.3% in total service exports, in Iceland 8.6% and 47.7%, in
France 7.4% and 22.2%, etc.
There is great rise in the tourism on stakeholders as this includes the travellers and
tourism destinations which are more beneficial for the stakeholders. The stakeholders in the
tourism sector basically includes the employees, local companies, developers, activists, etc. By
the happening of pandemic there ids great impact on the tourism on stakeholders (Bennedsen and
et.al., 2022).
SECOND CHAPTER
Discussing the emergence of new markets in tourism sector to increase consumers need and
motivation
Emerging markets refers to such market which includes the countries by having increase
in the economic performance and have the largest population. This basically includes China,
Indonesia, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, etc. As tourism is facing new challenges in the different
market so it is very important for them to better such emerging market where it can have better
profits. China is determined as one of the leading travel and tourism industry in the emerging
nations. It used to have value of $1318.7% billion in the future, that is followed by India and

Brazil by having estimated value of $296 and $276.6 billion respectively. By entering of tourism
industry in such emerging markets helps them to increase in the consumers and provide them
best to visit more. The tourism industry can also get the better benefits in Brazil as the country
used to have better economic performance with better population (Zhang and Zhang, 2020). It
also used to organize different sports activities which makes the tourists to visit over there.
The country used to satisfy the demand for the international tourism by providing them
the better travelling and better trips to travel across there. By providing equal benefits to the
tourists and satisfying there needs helps them to maintain the equality in the international market.
As there are different methods of travelling so the country must provide buses, cars, trains in
order to travel that particular country (Bernal Escoto, Portal Boza and Feito Madrigal, 2019).
The country must provide them duration of trips and activities that they will be performing while
visiting international. As nowadays people used to see the natural beauty and have various
activities which includes river rafting, cycling, mountain biking, hiking, etc.
These all activities are dependent on the duration of trip of the person. It is very
important to have activities in tourism as this used to build the base in order to have better
consumption benefits in the market (Alarcón and Cole, 2019). By this economic performance
also gain and have development in the country. The tourism used to gain the importance by
having the activity which used to have positive impact on the industry, economy, society and
further have growth of the country.
THIRD CHAPTER
Evaluating impact of tourism industry by considering equality and positive and negative factors
Tourism is considered as one of the important sectors that is most affected by the
happening of COVID-19. It has also impacted the economies, livelihoods, different services and
opportunities in the various countries. This sector used to bring both negative and positive
impact on the different tourists destinations. The economic effect of this sector used to improve
the tax revenue, personal income, standards of living and more employment opportunities.
Tourism also bring the positive and negative outcomes related to health for the local people
(Koburtay, Syed and Haloub, 2020). The short term negative impact related to health is high
population of tourist arrival that increases the risk of diseases, road accidents, crowding, etc. This
used to have impact on the equality in the market or at the different global destinations.

The positive and long term impact on the tourism on the local people related to heath is
that it used to bring positive health outcomes and social interactions with different culture
people. There is more investment in the tourism sector which used to have direct impact on the
economy of that particular country. This sector also has the advantage as this used to increase
jobs and provide the quality of life to the local people (Je, Khoo and Yang, 2022). It used to
rebuild and restore the historic sites that helps to encourage the culture of that global
destinations. The positive impact on the tourism used to bring the improvements in the natural
environment that is protection to national parks, infrastructure of the destinations, waste
treatment plants, etc. the heritage tourism used to focus on the local history of the area which has
high tourism.
The negative impact on the tourism on the equality and diversity is that it used to have
great impact on the culture of the local people. As there is continuous increase in the population
which has reduces the resources and make the destination unsustainable (Brower and James,
2020). The tourism destinations used to show the negative impact on the stage of tourism area.
This used to cause lot of impact on the local tourism business owners profits.
Fair and equal working rights and conditions: There must be equal and fair working
rights to the people working in the tourism sector (Caggiani, Colovic and Ottomanelli, 2020). As
this makes them more focused on their rights and conditions while providing services to tourists
in the different destinations. This helps to have improvement by having equal working rights and
conditions. For example, the tourist sector of the UK must be having equal and fair working
rights that helps them to provide better services.
Gender Pay Gap: This is referred as the pay gap between the men and women
remuneration who are working in the market. As women are generally paid less as compare to
men which has found the gap (Bottero, 2020). This gap can be the problem from the public
policy because it used to reduce the economic output and shows that women are more likely to
be dependent upon the welfare payments in the old age.
Crime development of destinations: By having large number of tourism used to
increase the crime as there are various strangers in that new city. This can be considered as the
high risk for the destinations which may increase the crimes at the destinations.
Ethics and Moral behaviour: Ethics and moral behaviour is the most important thing
that helps the countries to gain better attraction of tourism (Boll and Lagemann, 2018). This

motivation to travel it helps the people to visit different types of destinations and increases the
economic performance of emerging market.
This report has stated about the impact that has increased the tourism on stakeholders that
are employees, local companies, developers, activists, etc. by considering the different methods
to travel, duration of trips and activities helps the tourists to know about their expectations. By
having better travelling it used to have best experiences and fulfils the expectations of tourists. In
the third and final chapter of the report it has evaluated about the impact of tourism industry
taking equality as consideration and also stating negative and positive impact on the global
destinations and society. Further it has also considered the fair and equal working rights and
conditions, gender pay gap, unemployment, crime, development of destinations, sustainability,
etc. This helps to know more about the things that are related with the tourism sector in the
different global destinations.
