sectors help in enhancing traditional culture and tourism which aid country in increasing
tourism. These industries work in collaboration to attract minds of tourists and invite them
to come in visiting places of their countries (Bramwell, 2011). The major benefits and
drawbacks of partnership of public & private sector in tourism planning of Qatar are as
below:
Advantages:
When private and public organisations work together to develop tourism in
country then it will aid in generating better ideas for enhancing the same.
This process help in getting higher profitability if number of tourists are
like to come in visiting such places.
Getting several ideas of tourism development help in choosing the best
among them for further planning. It would in not only identifying the
problems related to development but also resolving such issues in an
appropriate manner. Economic condition, integration of communities, lack
of capital investments and more are some of the major issues which can be
resolved if private and public sectors work with each other.
Developing heritages and visiting places help in attracting more tourists
towards it.
Disadvantages:
Over utilisation of resources which are available in economy will influence
the environment in negative manner (Bunakov and et. al., 2015).
Decision making procedures are the most complex task of a company
especially when two companies of different sectors enrolled in common
project. It shows the major drawback of such collaboration of private and
public sectors.
Changes in business environment affect mostly the operational activities of
private sector as compared to public one. Therefore, bringing
modifications in organisational system of private firms shows another
difficulty in tourism planning.
