In the modern organisational practice, organisations not only have to comply with the
internal environment but a great deal of importance has to be invested in the internal
environment of the organisation. The culture that is instated within an organisation is an
important factor that reflects the overall direction of the organisation (Phillips, Pullen & Rhodes,
2014). Job discrimination is a factor that can be classified as a crucial factor that must be avoided
in order to ensure an organisation is able to mitigate the differences that might arise within the
culture of an organisation (Hossin & Sulaiman, 2015). The paper aims to briefly discuss the
scope of operations of Toyota in terms of the inclusion and diversity policy and the ethical state
of the country.
Toyota has been recognised as a company that has ben positioned as a leader in the global
market. The company has gained favourable nature of outcomes as a result of its world renowned
Toyota Production System (TPS). The company has incorporated Kaizen or lean operations into
the core functional divisions and the latter is one of the biggest deciding factors that has resulted
in the success that the company has been subject to (Rüttimann & Stöckli, 2016). It can be said
that the latter is a way through which the company has been able to develop a competency in the
market that they are operating in. At Toyota, pays due importance to stakeholder appreciation.
Both the internal and the external stakeholders are equally prioritised by the company. Inclusion
and diversity is an aspect that has been incorporated into the Human Resources policies of the
company (Toyota.com, 2019). Inclusion and diversity is a policy that incorporates the
involvement of the human resources from different backgrounds that is people from different
genders, ethnicities, religions, age groups and others (Toyota.com, 2019).
The policies such as inclusion and diversity policies are implemented as a result of the
rising incidences of discrimination that take place within organisations. The latter has

considerable impacts on the relationships that exist within organisations. It allows people to learn
from each other and allows equal opportunities of employment to people who might be otherwise
unemployed. The nature of practices that are carried out by Toyota abide by the biblical ethics.
The inclusion and diversity framework are highly ethical as it not only bolsters the capability of
the company with the help of assimilated competencies of people from different backgrounds. In
Toyota, it is the belief that equal importance should be invested people not depending on the
roles that people are associated to, but for they are equally valued stakeholders of the
organisation. The company has encompassed collaborations such as AAC or the African
American Collaborative and MOSAiC with the help of which the Toyota has emphasised on the
development of the multicultural quotient (Toyota.com, 2019).
In conclusion it can be said that Toyota is a company that has been effectively positioned
in the global market as a market leader. The company has emphasised not only on the external,
but on the internal environment as well with the help policies such as inclusion and diversity.
