Introduction
Tracy Shildrick is a sociology professor in the Newcastle
University at United Kingdom. She has done various researches on
different deprived sections of society. She studied various topics
including poverty, worklessness as well as transitions of young people
into adulthood. The following presentation consists of description
about social policy, processes of social policy and the ways in which
they work (Kauffman and et. al., 2020). There are also descriptions
about the various reasons for discrimination and inequality in different
generations.

Social Policy
Social policy can be said to be different setting of
governmental and politics for welfare of various states. In
social policies there are various principles, guidelines,
legislation as well as activities which are affecting the standard
of living as well as human welfare in the nation and society
(De Sena and Scribano, 2020).

Social Policy Process
In order to make a social policy in realistic process is
followed. There are distinct stages which are inseparable.
Policies are first designed well according to the problems in
the society. All the policy makers are required to agree to a
same solution which is then presented before ministers with
clear goal and objective in order to apply those social
policies. It is often seen that Policies take place After a
determined event.

Working of Social Policy
It is often seen that the policies might be a realistic,
undesirable or flawed. It is the duty of ministers to make
sure that policies are efficiently used for the purpose it
was made. There are various units which judge the
impact of a policy on society. This includes a central
strategy unit, policy unit, flexible pool and a body to
scrutinize the policy centrally and linking it to Minister's.

Inequality in generations
It is necessary to understand and measure the inequality. When degree
of inequality in a society is measured it is either To Hai or to Lo. It is
necessary to understand how does this inequality arise, what are the
effects of inequality in future, and how can this be taken care of. It is
necessary to understand how does inequality Effects different
generation. What are the reasons due to which the inequality of
parents is transmitted to their children? When focus is paid on changes
in inequality from generation to generation it is necessary to learn
about intergenerational mobility.

The nature of inequality is studied by learning the family
background as well as pre-conditions ultimate adult social as
and labour market outcomes. It can be concluded that if child
of a rich person is already destined to grow up and become
rich adults there for poor children are also destined to be the
next generation of the people those were living in poverty.
Here inequality is an outcome of stills of the result of structure
of a society which is rigid and cannot be changed.

Conclusion
It can be thus concluded from the presentation that
how are social policies developed and various ways in
which they function in order to enhance the society and
welfare of people living in it. This also concludes that
providing every child with equal opportunity the
transfer of inequality and discrimination can be stopped
from passing through generations.
