Management
It is important part of every organisation. It can define as a process of managing all the processes
of a company and achieve goals and objectives at a specific period of time, In the module there is
discussion related to various theories of management. The business environment keeps on
changing and that is why it is called dynamic (Harris and et.al., 2021). The traditional
management theories are good enough to take wise decisions. But due to changing nature of
business organisation there is need of some new theories that will help the organisation achieve
goals and success. The economy has changed after globalisation and now there is mixture of
trade seen in the organisations. The companies now work at multinational level and have
diversity of employees the companies have to follow the value and cultures so that all the
employees feel respected in the company. There are various challenges that are faced but by
using the contemporary theories companies able to deal with all of them and take effective
measures.
Traditional approaches
I have understood that the traditional approaches were based on some principles that must be
followed by the employees in the organisation. There was hierarchy that the employees have to
follow as well as it was compulsory to be organised and follow the disciplinary actions. The
employees for not given opportunity to speak in between in each and every person was defined
their roles and responsibilities (Gemino, Horner Reich and Serrador, 2021). It is seen that the
employees were accountable to each and every person who ask them question and all the persons
working of them were their superior. It was good to have fixed roles and responsibilities and
complete the work on time as there was no chances of conflict. But at the same time, it is seen
that the employees were not motivated for their work and their work so stressed by doing the
same work again and again. The classical, human relation as well as contingency theories were
used at that time. Whenever there was issued then they try to communicate it to others but there
was a hierarchy that was followed and it takes lot of time to resolve the issue in traditional
management approaches.
Modern approaches
The competition is rising the techniques and concepts are also changing. I have understood that
to work in this dynamic environment the companies have changed their style of planning. The

companies try to take effective decision using various programming techniques
(MOLDAKENOVA and et.al., 2017. Today there is a proper research conducted and each and
every employee of the organisation is given right to participate in decision making. I also
examined that the work is decentralized and all the employees have right to speak. If an
employee has any problem may contact directly with the grievance solving team of the company.
At the same time the value of employees has enhanced in their provided proper training. Also,
another change that has took place is in regard to motivating the employees. Nowadays
organisation takes various actions to engage the employees in reward their good performance so
that they are retained in the organisation for longer period of time. It is also evaluated that way of
communication is also changes and the focus has shifted towards the employees.
Difference among the management approaches
I have analysed the points of differences among the two approaches:
ï‚· Stable: The traditional approaches were stable and used continuously so as to take
actions. On the other side the contemporary ways are according to dynamic nature of
environment (Alkhatib and et.al., 2017). They are not stable and can be changed as per
the situation.
ï‚· Teamwork: Before wards, the focus was on following the hierarchy and respecting of
supervisors. Now in the present time, the organisations have understood the importance
of team work. The focus is now on collaborative working as that helps to compete the
work assigned effectively and efficiently.
ï‚· Flexibility: The approaches formulate traditionally were rigid and can not be changed as
per the situation. The management team has to follow the same rules and regulation in
order to solve the issue (Najafi and et.al., 2021). It is also analysed that now the policies
and flexible and they can be altered as per the demand of situation.
ï‚· Morale: The employees in the traditional time were also working but the approaches
were not that satisfactory. At the time of these modern approaches the focus is in taking
care about the morale of employees. As productivity of the organisation dependent on the
employees.
I have understood that is important to change the process as per the situation. As there is
new technology and various environmental and political changes taking place in the country.

Each and every organisation should use contemporary techniques to manage their organisation
and goals and objective.
