The discussion states about the aspects or experience acquired through a training
course, and the impact on my learning. I am working presently in IT company and I took a
training course almost two years before to acquire and gain knowledge to perform best in this
job. The training course was designed to attain the technical skills development training.
This course helped to gain the knowledge and skills related to data analysis, coding,
programming, and other major activities of the job (Leberman & McDonald, 2016).
It is an important component of learning in the work scenario, as it facilitated me to
work better and enhance my performance over a period. The most helpful aspects that
supported me to gain knowledge, and enhance the performance were the learning solutions
provided by training management departments. It also included videos, podcasts, e-learning
and other discussions that were organised every week to enhance better understanding of the
job role, and to resolve all the issues (Bell et al., 2017).
I analysed that the group discussions and the learning on the development of effective
skills and capabilities for better management were vital elements in this training course.
According to me, these were more useful due to the reason that these allowed and aided me to
discuss all my problems, issues related to the work (Luftman, Lyytinen & Zvi, 2017).
Moreover, it enhanced my confidence to speak amongst a group of people in the
organisational set-up, which is also essential part of the professional development.
Furthermore, I have now developed required skills to work at a better position in the IT
company, and ensure my future growth and development.
