Retail sector in UK is facing the growth & development in UK which is offering the
number of employment opportunities that is helping to get positive impact on economy. The
contribution of retail sector in UK GDP is 5.2% which shows that it is growing effectively.
Training & development is one of the crucial strategies that helps organization to gain the
significant ability to identify the lacking areas of employees so that suitable action for
improvement can be taken (Kozhakhmet and et.al., 2022). It plays important role in
influencing the performance of employees by offering them effective solution for
accomplishing their roles & responsibilities. The current study is based on ASDA which
operates as supermarket chain that offers different form of products. The current study will
pay attention on assessing impact of training & development practices on improving
employee’s performance. It will focus on having utilization of qualitative research type and
thematic analysis technique so that depth understanding can be attained.
