EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Training and development plays most important role in the modern era within the
workplace as it allows staff members to carry out all the operations of business in proper manner.
Further, it supports to focus on the major areas where employees are not performing better. The
present investigation possesses the aim that is to evaluate the impact of training and development
on the employees’ performance: in context of Hilton hotel. Descriptive research design has been
used and the research is of qualitative nature. Further, sample size of 20 employees has been
undertaken and data has been analyzed through qualitative tools where different themes have
been formed. From the entire research, it can be concluded that training and development has an
important part of the organization. It is an educational process which involves the sharpening of
skills, concepts, changing of attitude of the staff. With the help of different training and
development methods such as on the job, off the job etc, company has delivered the right training
to the staff.

favorable results for the organization in every possible manner (Pollock, Wick and Jefferson,
2015). Therefore trained and qualified personnel demonstrates effective behavior that leads to
enhancement of customer satisfaction. This has result in increasing the loyalty in relation to
hotel. Investment in training and development programs has started to increase in companies so
that staff members can easily satisfy requirement of the target market in best possible manner.
Absence of effective program has adverse impact on the overall performance of company and
due to this reason concept of training and development is getting popular.
Background of the study
The role of training and development of personnel is suitable practice that acts as an aid
for the executive in increasing the knowledge of the employees to a significant level. There is
