Training and development is a key factor for the organisation. With this employees can enhance
their skills and knowledge and they can have more engagement towards the company. Proper
utilisation of human resource can be done by timely training and development programs.
Through this company can increase their profits (Maity, 2019). It is a program where employees
can able to learn new and updated skills this is very helpful for the organisation also. In this they
get to know about there weaknesses and by this they reduces there errors. Training and
development program can enhance the performance and moral of the employees. This essay will
cover different methods of training and development and also states the advantage and
disadvantage of the respective methods.

attractive to the employees by this method company can provide training to their employees by
using online technologies (Numonjonov, 2020). This training method helps in utilising time. It
removes the traditional method to give training. In this, employees do not have to physically
present in the centre. This method have many advantage but there are also some disadvantages.
Advantages
Save time technology based training is helpful in many ways, the very first and important
advantage of this is this method save time of both trainee and trainer. In this training method
employees do no have to present in the organisation. They can learn new skills from anywhere
and anytime where they want. Flexibility this method is very easy to give training many
employees on the same time. Trainers can connect to every trainee at one time one place. There
is no need for repetition of the same program again and again. This is a very adaptive method
the company should use for the the training and development program.
Disadvantage
One way communication there is only downward communication in the computer based
method. In this the trainees feel shy and under confident to speak up in front of so many
employees (Maity, 2019). They think that if they speak every one will make fun of them. This is
the biggest disadvantage of this method. Less interactive this method do not give assurance
employees involvement. It is hard to find out whether their trainees are engaging with them or

not. In the computer based training they do not know that their employees are getting proper
knowledge or not is the information flow effectively because there is no face to face
communication between trainer and trainee. On the job training this particular method is very
popular because in this method employee can learn new skills by the training along with the job.
For this training trainee also get paid. It is method which helps the employee in saving time he is
not have to go to another place for learning the required skill set (Tkachenko, Kuzior and
Kwilinski, A., 2019). This facilitates the time management for proper utilisation of time by
getting training and job at the same time.
Advantages
Cost effective on the job training method helps the organisation by providing the training while
doing work because they do not have to pay more money for the training and development of the
employees. This helps them to reduce cost on this type of program. Immediate feedback the
trainers give instant feedback to the trainee during their work. By the help of this employees can
able to know about their weaknesses, strengths . On the job training method reduces errors of the
employees. They will get to know about the new way by which they can increases their
efficiency.
Disadvantages
Lack of skilled trainers in the organisation there are many trainers who have proper
knowledge and experience but it is possibility that they might do not have confidence or
interpersonal skill to guide and trained new people in the company. For become a good trainer a
person should have communication skill it is very important to lead someone. Chances of errors
if trainer give a tough task to the trainee at the initial stage it will be very hard to complete
without task for a trainee. There is a possibility of errors in this method. Trainer assumes that the
task has been cleared to the trainee and he will be finish this and on the trainee side he might be
hesitate to question again and again and this will end up in increases errors. Off the job training
this method is define as the training which the employees can take away from their organisation
where they are working (Karam, 2019). It be a classroom training, a distance training, a office
training. There are some advantages and disadvantage of this training.
Advantages
Enhance performance off the job training gives a chance to learn something new skills apart
from their regular work . They take the program outside the workplace this helps them to give

Encourage team spirit this training helps in team building. Employees can able to learn new
skills in the off the job training and they also work in their organisation as well so this will
promote team spirit in them this a very important factor every employees should have into them

Disadvantages
Lack of feedback this method is not good at receiving feedbacks from their trainers . Without
feedbacks they do not able to know their strengths and weakness. Expensive off the job
training requires fund and this is quiet expensive because of fees, convenience charge and
accommodation.

There are so many training method in the organisation like computer based training method, on
the job training method, off the job training method these are simple based training method like
formal and informal training method
computer based training method is more flexible in the nature in this method training to the
employee. In this training new technologies has been use which help in store time save your time
you can conduct the training session online mode use the different types of technologies
on the job training are the training which refer to the process in which training is provided while
you are recruited to the job and the same the same time training is being held while you are
performing the job or in simple word we can say that training is being provided while you bare
on the job it means both thing at the same time jon and training

job is the one sector and training is the another sector where you can perform another task with
your training off the job means you are trained separately while you are not on the job you have
to perform job separately and training .
