This assignment presents a training and dietary program designed for a 32-year-old male client, Mr. Joe Brown, who is struggling with obesity and high blood pressure. Based on the assessment, the student recommends a series of interventions, including daily running exercises, increased water consumption, stress management techniques, and a shift towards a healthier diet. The dietary recommendations emphasize high-fiber foods, lean proteins, fruits, and vegetables, while discouraging the consumption of high-fat, high-cholesterol foods. Running head: TRAINING AND DIETARY
This training and dietary program is intended for Mr Joe Brown who is aged 32 years.
This client has been suffering from obesity and high blood pressure over the last two years. The
problem of overweight started out slowly but it has now blown to levels that are making him
uncomfortable in the carrying out of his duties both at work and at home.
Mr Brown works as an accountant and this means that he is normally in the office for
most part of the day. He drives himself to work and therefore there is no amount of exercises that
he does such as walking. He has formed an eating pattern whereby apart from eating the 3
recommended meals of the day, he eats in between these meals. The meals that he takes are not
snacks but heavy meals which he normally orders from the nearest shop outlet. He is still single
and thus he normally buys ready-made food from the stores that he carries with him to his place.

Q. Do you consume fruits in your meals?
A.I normally take fruits maybe once in a month
Q. Have you taken time to cook at your place?
A.I only cooks when I have friends visiting
After analyzing the answers given based on the questionnaire, I have recommended the
following advice in respect to the problem that he is currently facing;
He should ensure that he undertakes running exercises each and every day. This should
be done at the convenient time and it is my advice that he chooses to do this in the morning. This
is because the weather is convenient and thus he can be able to run for some time without getting
really exhausted ( Gerdessen, & De Vries,2015).
Also, it is important that he takes up to 8 glasses of water per day. Water is essential for
the development and health of the body. This will ensure that the water that he loses is
replenished for the smooth functioning of the body ( MURPHY,GERMAN, & CLINE,2019).
Based on the fact that he has high blood pressure, it is important that he avoids all manner
of issues that brings about stress. The blood pressure can rise significantly due to the presence of
stress and therefore he should try to avoid this at all cost.
Mr Brown should ensure that he consumes the right kind of meals that will help him in
losing weight and maintaining a good health. The foods that he should take include foods with
high fiber content such as potatoes, rice and bread. He should ensure that his meal contains some
beans eggs or meat which is good for providing proteins to the body. Also, he should take at least
5 portions of fruits which will include a mixture of different variety. Vegetables are an important

part of a healthy diet and therefore this is something that he should not miss in his meals (Poon,
& Lau, 2017).
According to my client, he does not cook at home but rather carries food home. These are
foods that are rich in fats and cholesterol such as chicken and pizza and thus the problem of
weight will continue to bet there. I have thus recommended that he should try and prepare his
meals at home in order to avoid consuming too much calories and fats that will only serve to
increase his weight and make him vulnerable to high blood pressure (Salmoirago-Blotcher,
Druker, Frisard, Dunsiger, Crawford, Meleo-Meyer,& Pbert,2018).
