Introduction
Training and development is considered as the important part of the company that focuses on the
improvement of the overall performance of the individuals and groups. It can be said that
training is known as the education process that helps in boosting the skills, concepts and also

discussion will be made on the different methods of training that are used by the companies such
as on the job training and off the job training. These two are considered as the important methods
of training which can be considered by the companies to explain about the nature of work or
about the activities that are conducted in the workplace.

On the job training Method
This is one of the methods of giving training to the employees and it is useful in boosting the
overall knowledge of the workers towards the work. The training is given to the workers on the
floor or it can be said that on job training considers the existing workplace tools such as
machines, documents and knowledge that assist to teach and employees how to give their best
towards the work. On the job training can be defined as the method in which the workers,
operative staff are offered direct instructions to complete their work on the actual work floor.
The employees have the opportunity to acquire the skills that are needed to perform in the actual
working conditions. There are also various methods that relates with on- the job training
methods such as mentoring, job rotation, coaching and apprenticeship (Huang and Su, 2016).

This is one of the On- the job training method in which the training is provided to the managerial
level individuals wherein the higher authorities gives instructions to the employees to conduct
the routine activities. It is known as one-to-one training method in which the higher authorities
are considered as the mentor who helps the employees in the tough situations. So, it can be said
this is one of the best training method that helps the employees to consider the right direction at
the time of working (Cohen, 2017).
