Organization
Following the training need assessment that was conducted in the organization a while
ago, several critical areas were identified that were making the employees not to perform to their
maximum regarding the specific duties and tasks they were given. In resultant to that a training
program was designed so as to ensure that those areas of deficits were well addressed in order to
improve the productivity of the individuals working in the organization and also the organization
as a whole to get maximum productivity from high performing individuals (Herrmann, N., &
Herrmann-Nehdi, A. 2015). A training need assessment was carried out by selected experts who
were tasked to critically analyze each department as a whole and identify each person need that
would make them produce and work effectively in the organization.
The case organization is a chartered company that deals with processing of green flowers
for sale. The company is twelve years old and has big acres of land under which it cultivated
flowers. To facilitate the production and continuity of the company, it has hired several staff
ranging from directors, farm managers, drivers, office assistants, cleaners marketing team,
financial assistance, security guards and many others. The company remuneration plan is above
average and most people are paid not more and not less the expected amount. Due to the wide
range of employees from different professions working in the organization, there have been
several issues regarding employee and their attitude towards work (Herrmann, N., & Herrmann-
Nehdi, A. 2015). The administration indicated that some performed at their level best while
others just did the optimum work so as to maintain their position in the company and to fulfill the
employer's target. As a result, a training assessment need was conducted and it brought out
stipulated areas where thorough training was needed in order to improve the individual’s
capabilities.

The need assessment identified that most of the workers who worked in the offices had
not upgraded with the modern technology and it was affecting the ongoing daily job since they
were being conducted at a slow pace. In the finance department, for example, it was identified
that the staff was using older ways of calculations and computing sums, this delayed the whole
financial process as most payments were not made on time. The marketing department was not
left out. The team identified that the marketing department was not advertising the company’s
products on the modern social media as they were using the old newspaper journals to advertise
for the flowers that the companies were selling and also advertising job opportunities when the
need arose. In terms of security, the department was so reluctant that they didn’t have all the
trace of the events that happened in the whole organization. The supervisors were not left, the
team found out that some of the managerial team and the supervisors did not act ethically in
addressing issues that concerned the workers. Some treated the workers with low dignity which
made them perform dismally than expected (Herrmann, N., & Herrmann-Nehdi, A. 2015).
The training and development need that was carried out had several importance. The
major goal was to ensure organizational unity and high productivity and performance of the
individuals and the organization as a whole, on the departmental level the importance was, to
ensure that office matters and the daily program was well followed and the whole organization
was fully functional. This will be of high importance to the employee who works in the offices as
they will get proper training that will help them carry out their daily duties as they will be trained
on the modern technology and how to handle it. The supervisors will also benefit from the
program as they will be taught how to handle other employees and treating them as equal. This
will prompt good relation between the employee and the supervisors and it will surely lead to
high productivity. Communication department will also benefit from the program as they will be

trained on the way to effectively use modern ways of communication when it comes to sending
information regarding the new development within the company. The security department will
get experts to take them through modern ways of detecting bad and malicious individuals in the
organization and also on the bigger part the way to ensure that the organization was free from
terrorist. The other employee will also benefit from this plan as they will be trained on how to
carry out their specific duties without waiting for their supervisors to look at them. The
marketing department will also get experts to help them have the knowledge of using the modern
application in ensuring that the organization is in a better position in terms of market strategies.
Participants.
The participants of this training will cover a wide range of staff starting from the normal
employee all the way to the top management of the firm. They will include, security guards,
clerks, drivers, office assistants, finance officers, procurement officers, marketing officers,
communication officers, supervisors, and the senior directors of the firm. Security guards will get
adequate training that will help them get well equipped with modern security issues. Clerks and
company drivers will be trained on how to ensure that their work was effective and productive.
Finance officers, procurement officers, and marketing officers will be guided on how to use their
influential office in an ethical manner so as to produce good results that will enable the
organization to grow and have good repulsion from the outside world (Herrmann, N., &
Herrmann-Nehdi, A. 2015).
The participants will get extra benefit from the training. This is because they will be well
equipped with modern ways and system on how to handle work and it will provide guidelines for
them to assess their improvement gradually. The participants will have an avenue to top up
knowledge and skills and some might end up getting promoted due to the results of the training.

The organization, on the other hand, will not be left out as it will experience high labor
productivity that will result due to impacted knowledge from the training. High productivity and
increased profits will follow. This will be as a result of the basic work skills that the training will
have imparted to the organization harmony and good relationship will also be evident in the
organization since there will be a good relationship between the employees and the top
management officials. This will be as a result of the training that they will get. The program will
benefit all but it will need the sacrifice of financial resources and non-financial resources such as
time and leadership.
Program plan.
A program plan will be very essential in ensuring that all go in order so as to ensure that
all the departments are employees are reached out right from the normal employee up to the top
management officials. The plan will consist of the group of people who will be trained on
specific issues, the amount of time that the training programmes will take, the main topics that
will be discussed in the training, the way the supervisors will train them, the method of
communication that will be used in the communication. There will also be a reward program for
the people who will have impressed the supervisors, the basic thing of including this system is to
motivate the employee to be eager to learn and improve their skills and understanding of various
issues (Herrmann, N., & Herrmann-Nehdi, A. 2015).

The program will have its objective which will act as guidelines for ensuring that they are
met within the stipulated time and a positive change is seen in the organization. The objectives
will be as follows: -
1.To enhance creativity in the performance of duties and task.
2.To create a developmental culture within the organization.
3.To promote high productivity and harmony in the organization.
4.To enhance the good relationship and trustworthy between the organization and employee.
Creativity enhancement is the major objective of the training. This is to ensure that the
employee gets the basic knowledge to perform their daily task in a more advanced and accurate
way, secondly is to ensure that they view the complex task as doable. Enhancement of
developmental culture will also be an objective of the training as it will be aiming at ensuring
that employee gets the urge to advance their career personally by advancement in education and
regular training. Promotion of high productivity in the organization is also an objective. Most of
the working generation spend much of their daily time in their working stations, this prompt us
to judge that work should be a peaceful and a harmonious place where people should interact and
socialize freely. Therefore, another objective will be to ensure that there is a conducive
environment which will contribute to the good relationship among the manpower in the
organization.

Planned activities will be different depending on each day. Office assistants will have
their days activities as follows. They will get into the social hall at exactly 8 am where they will
find the facilitator already available for they will be taught how to be an aggressive person at
work. They will be provided with a notebook to write on and also will be given a chance to a
question if they will need any clarification.
Managers will be the second group. Their training will take part in the social hall at
exactly 8 am where they are required to come with notebooks and ensure that they take keynote
on what the trainer will give them. They will be trained on social responsibilities in the
workplace and workplace ethics. This will help them improve their day to day encounter with the
employees and also create a good relationship between them and the employees. They will be
required to sign a timesheet once they are through with the training.

Support staffs will be the third group to be trained. Due to their complexity in numbers,
they will be divided into groups of twenty each day whereby they will be taught on how to grow
positively through improving their educational skills. This will help them advance their work and
get promoted when they complete the advancement (Brewster, C. 2017).
Drivers will be the fourth group to be trained. The basic requirement will be to undergo a
medical test and bring the results to the trainer who will proceed to give them training on
defensive driving which will enable them to gain the knowledge on how to handle the company’s
cars when they are entrusted to them. This will help them improve their driving skills and also
eliminate bad attitude towards work.
Cybercrime has gone an inch higher that is why the IT department personnel will be the
next group to be trained. The instructor will tackle with them the issue of cyber-crime which will
equip them with knowledge on how to prevent the companies network system from being
hacked. This will ensure that the companies private information remains guarded and that they
use modern ways to advertise the company on the internet.
Finance officers will have their date with the trainer at the boardroom. These are guys
who manage the finance of the organization and by giving them good training, it will equip them
with the expertise on how to ensure that financial assets of the company are managed effectively.
As part of ensuring that the whole organization is unified, supervisors will be the last group to be
trained. They will get the basic skills that will enable them to act as intermediaries between the
top management officials and the workers. The training will equip them with basic ethics on how
to handle junior employees in the organization.

The planned activities were formulated with the guideline of the representatives from
each of the mentioned participants. This helped in the scheduling of the time so as to ensure that
they got specific training depending on the type of job they do in the organization. The
organization has also gone an extra mile to pay the trainers who will ensure that the training is
handled in an appropriate manner. The mentioned rooms where the training will be conducted
will be available an hour to the top of the hour. This will provide enough time for the groups to
settle and make themselves familiar with the venue. (Brewster, C. 2017).
As part of the planned schedule, trainers will be given the following instructions.
1.Ensure that all participants are settled before the start of the training.
2.Introduce yourself in an appropriate and friendly way.
3.Ensure that all the participants have notebooks.
4.Open up their mind by ensuring that they highlight their main challenges.
5.Ensure that you give them a break after every two hours to break the monotony.
6.Give them time to ask questions whenever need arises.
7.Answer all the question in an ethical way.
8. Be audible enough.
9.Use any appropriate training tool that will help improve the understanding of the participants.
10.Ensure your conclusion is brief and sign the check sheet after training.
After a successful training is over, feedback will be needed from the trainer and from the
participants also. This will include a short-structured question asking whether the training was

effective and the areas that need to be improved in future. The trainer will be required also to
give a feedback on whether the participants were attentive and cooperative. The trainer will be
required to give the administration a report on how the training was and the areas that were
challenging to him or her and areas for improvement. Participants will also be required to give a
detailed report after one week containing the evaluation of the training and the areas that they
feel were thoroughly addressed (Brewster, C. 2017). After assessing all the feedback from both
the trainer and the participants, the organization will release a document critically analyzing the
training activity and pinpointing whether there was an improvement in the productivity of the
employee.
Resources required.
Resources that will be required to facilitate are in a wide range depending on the trainer
and what type of tool and equipment will help him or her to make an impact on the participants.
They will be majorly divided into two major parts namely financial and non-financial resources.
Financial resources will include the amount of cash that will be set aside for the training. The
finance will be used to pay the trainers, hire for instruments that will be requested by the trainer,
facilitate food and drinks that will be used by the trainer.
Non-financial resources will include, the time that the organization and the employees are
willing to sacrifice. The venue where the training will be held is also a much-needed resource.
this will ensure that the whole event is conducted in a conducive environment. Visual aids will
also be needed so as to emphasize on the message that the trainer will have. speakers, projectors,
amplifiers, microphones, computers, Resources are very much essential to the success of the
training program this is because it ensures that all the plans are executed in an appropriate way.
