Introduction
In this assignment, an analysis will be done over the skills and knowledge gathered by the
person during the training of Finance and accounts department of Oil& Gas Company. The
different types of skills which are acquired during the training will be analysed in this
assignment.
Description of acquired skills and experience during training
During the work in Finance and Accounts department of ‘Oil & Gas Company’, a lot of skills
and experience are gained. Some of the major skills are as follows which I acquired during
my training session:
Communication skills
While doing interaction with my staff members I came to know about different aspects of
communication. I improved my written as well as verbal communication skills. While
working with a team, I learned the basic concept about culture and interaction with people of
different cultural background. Communication skills are a very important tool for developing
the career of a person. It not only helps in the professional life of the person but also it is very
helpful in managing the personal life of a person (Long, 2019).
Interpersonal skills
I acquired a special set of interpersonal skills during my training session. Dealing with
different types of clients added a lot of interactive and interpersonal skills in my personality.
There is a clearly improvement in the problem solving and decision making skills in my
personality. Interpersonal skills involved leadership quality, acquiring patience,
understanding of the scenario and a very effective knowledge about the process of the
organisation. These skills contribute a lot in the development of the personality of the person
and help him in improving his professional life (N Ashraf, 2020).
Technical skills
While working with Finance and accounts department, I gathered a lot of knowledge in the
field of Finance. Managing the accounts of the clients and the complete process of the

Company regarding purchasing and selling of product has been learned by me. Handling the
finance of the Company is such a crucial task. A lot of problem solving skills and technical
skills are required to fulfill this task. By doing different activities related to the projects of the
Company, I realised that I acquired a very effective set of technical knowledge which is very
valuable for my future career (P Mubanga, 2019).
Technical skills involved skills related to calculations, work on system, knowledge about the
internal process of the organisation and many other skills related to solving the problems of
the organisation in terms of receiving the profit for the Company (P Mubanga, 2019).
Conclusion
On the bases of the above analysis, it can be concluded that training session contribute many
skills in the personality of the person. Communication skills, interpersonal skills and
technical skills are added in the skill set of the person after getting the training in the
Company. Moreover, it can be said that training added many special set of skills in the person
which are extremely helpful in his professional as well as in personal life. The work
experience in the Company is very valuable for the trainees and it really helps them in
making a bright future.
