Examples of when the leadership styles are appropriate
Transactional leadership:
This style of leadership is also known as managerial leadership is focused on a role of
organization, supervision and the group performance. The leaders who opt this style are the one
which focus on the particular task and also makes use of the punishments and rewards in order to
motivate its followers (van Knippenberg and van Ginkel, 2021). This style can be opted in the
following situations where it will be appropriate:
This style is likely to be success in the situation of crisis or in such projects which
requires the specific or the linear processes. Whenever a company faces any crisis or is

Another situation can be when the leader wants to make sure that its task is going well on
track so the leader can visit the team and ask them for difficult questions till such time it
is not satisfied that team is on track and have understood goal. This style of leadership is
effective at the time to check the track of task. Bill gates uses this style in order to ensure

When the staff is demotivated to achieve its goal, the leader can opt this style in order to
motivate the staff so that it can get encouraged to accomplish its target. When

theory as it is appropriate when the leader wants to motivate the employee by way of
rewards or punishments (Ali, Wang and Johnson, 2020).

This style is such wherein the leader can encourage, inspire and motivate the employees
in order to create any change or innovate the offering so that the business can grow and take the
shape in the form of success (Ayman and Lauritsen, 2018). This style can be opted by the leader
in following situation where it will appropriate:

bring innovation in the offering so that the company can stay ahead of the competitors
and battle it.

product together with building the new software ecosystem.
When in a company, the employees are making consist mistakes, this style of leadership
can be used to stifle the creativity so that employees can move and shake the business by
