This research article by Asiimwe et al. (2019) mentions about the complications that one
nursing professional suffers from when he or she transits from one job role to another. To
understand this aspect, this research uses the transitional theory and then discusses the aspects
that help in the guided transition from basic to advanced nursing professionals or from RN to
BSN. In this descriptive correlational aspect, the researchers used 51 nurses that has shifted from
RN to BSN and thorugh semi structural questionnaire, it was found that there are multiple factors
including personal factors, social factors, organizational factor due to which it become difficult
for the nurses to transit their roles.

This paper by Huston et al. (2001) discusses about the courses of RN-BSN transition so
that flow of care could be maintained with changes in role. The primary aim of this paper was to
discuss the aim, objectives and course content with implementation of this bridge courses so that
the preliminary outcomes of this course among the students of California University could be
obtained. It was seen that thorugh this course, nurses were able to obtain computer literacy
related exposure with develop socialization aspects. Hence, this course could be used for
successful transition of nurses from one job role to another.
