According to the study of Baatiema et al. (2017) discusses the health professional
view on the barriers and also enables an evidence based practice for acute stroke care by
using a systematic review. As my context is related to pharmacy so, I think this article is
very compatible for my context. The article is discussing about the barriers related to the
health care which are restricting the health care professionals during the delivery care. This
barriers of the health care professionals is quite similar with my topic which is barriers of
pharmacists in prescribing any medicine. In this systematic review, a adequate number of
articles should be examined so that the adequate data can be examined. In this, systematic
review study, databases like MEDLINE, , Embase, Cochrane Library, , PsycINFO, AMED
(Allied and Complementary Medicine), Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health
Literature (CINAHL) were used to collect data (Baatiema et al., 2017). In addition to this, it
is reported that, there was a proper inclusion and exclusion criteria and it made the study
more appropriate. This study aims to identify health professional perspective on the barriers
in the way of care process and I also faced issues regarding prescribing medicines as a
pharmacists. So, I think this article will be appropriate for me. In the critical appraisal of this
article, it is observed that, all the sections are addressed properly. In addition to this, I think
the strengths of this study also supports my topic. The primary focus of the study is to
overcome the limitations of the study and it will also help me to overcome the barriers
regarding prescribing medicine by a pharmacists. I can also use this search strategy to find
relevant interventions regarding this problem.
