AI Summary
This report examines the impact of transmission-based precautions on patient experience, focusing on the balance between patient rights, hospital staff, other patients, and community members. The report discusses the potential for these precautions to cause depression and anxiety and argues that while individual patient rights are important, they should not outweigh the safety of the broader community, particularly given the risk of infectious diseases. The author references research and journals to support the analysis, emphasizing the importance of balancing patient autonomy with the need for effective infection control measures. The report also highlights the importance of patient safety and the need for clear guidelines. The author concludes that while individual patient rights are important, they should not outweigh the safety of the broader community.

Impacts of transmission based precaution on patients' experience
Transmission based precautions is the way of protecting and controlling infection and it
is being taken by patients, who are infected or colonized with infectious agents. This precautions
is being taken along with standard precautions. According to me one of the main common
transmission based precaution is contact or isolation precaution. I believe that it has critical
impacts on patients' experience. If it is being taken by themselves as per their choice then it has
positive impacts (Purssell, Gould and Chudleigh, 2020). But they are bound to use this
precautions then it may lead to depression, anxiety and other mood disturbance. After Covid 19
it is become essential to take transmission based precautions but I observed many patients
becoming depressed by being isolating.
I believe that individual patient's rights should not be outweigh those of hospital staff,
other patients and community members because it can affect them if patients are not bound or
give rights outweigh. So, as per the safety basis, I believe that individual patient's right should
not be outweigh. It is beneficial for all hospital staff, community members and patients as well,
because patients with infectious disease can affect others who have poor immune. But if patients
rights are not outweigh than other then they can become frustrated, depressed and may feel
bound (Krein and et.al., 2018). But still as per the safety perspective it is believed that
transmission based precaution should be taken by patients along with lower rights than others.
