This paper relates to the opinion based on the travel industry and the future of the travel industry.
This reflection paper includes the description of the travel industry that relates to the future
which includes one year from now, five years from now and ten years from now. The crisis
occurs in the industry which also includes in this reflection paper. The different segments of the
travel industry will be included in this reflection paper. The various needs of the industry to
survive in future will be included in this paper.
Future of Tourism in coming one year from now
I have been analyzed that the travel industry is continuously increasing day by day and people
started taking more interest in travelling as compared to the previous years. In the upcoming
year, the travel industry improves their profits. The future of the travel industry in one year
includes different process related to the global economy as it is the industry that is responsible to
maintain the overall global economy at different per cent. In the next one year, the travel industry
needs to focus on the emerging markets and destinations, sustainable consumerism and other
several factors (Baum, 2015).
In the year 2021, the industry increases the overall economy of different countries based on
tourism. The future of the travel industry in 2021 is a little bit affected due to the COVID-19
which becomes one of the most critical issues nowadays (Thomas, et al., 2015). People become
more aware of this disease so the travel industry decreased some per cent in the coming year. But
not majorly affected. The different segments of the travel industry include in the overall industry
which might affect the tourists and their needs at the time of travelling.
Future of tourism in the coming five years
I have analyzed that in the coming five years, the industry reached at height as the youth takes an
interest in travelling and explore the world. Tourism is predicted to increase in the future as the
number of tourists increases by 3.3 per year so up to 2025 it reaching 1.5 billion tourists' arrival.
I have been analyzed the future of the travel industry is too good which creates a better economy
in the world. In Canada, the future of the travel industry is responsible to improve various

economic issues. All the segments of the travel industry set to grow and the fastest growth is
achieved by tourism in the next five years. (Bock, 2015).
The various aspects that improve the travel industry in the year 2025 include the ecotourism,
local cultural experiences, increasing levels of personalization and business and leisure. The
travel will be sustained properly by managing all the different process of tourism. The travel
industry will be sustained in the market and manage several cultural experiences are also
improved in the coming years.
Future of tourism in the coming ten years
Now, it’s about ten years from now. I have been analyzed that the travel industry also gets
affected and increasing in the upcoming ten years. There are different trends of travel and
tourism helps in shape the future of the travel industry. I have been analyzed that tourist is
increasing with hundreds about the holiday plans. Different trends shape the future of tourism
includes global warming and co2 pollution, experience economy, industry's obsession with the
proper marketing paradise and over-tourism (Werthner, et al., 2015).
Different factors affect the overall tourism which includes human, economic, geopolitical,
technological and environmental. I have been analyzed that all these factors of different countries
are different so every country maintains all these factors. In the coming ten years, tourism will be
reached at the heights and it manages all the economic and environmental conditions of the
world and different countries involved in the tourism industry. Tourists contribute to sales, jobs,
tax revenues and income of tourism. The future of the tourism industry also includes the different
sectors of the industry like the transportation industry, hospitality industry and several other
industries (Morrison, 2018). All the factors of tourism get affected in maintaining the future of
the travel industry. I have been analyzed that tourism also gives several positive impacts on the
tourism that it increases in jobs and gives a higher quality of life to the people.

I have been analyzed that the tourism industry also faces several crises and it affects all the
different segments of the overall industry. The different segments of the travel industry include
transportation, hospitality, airline industry, Car Rental and Coach services. All these segments
get affected by the crisis occurs in the future.
The environmental crisis occurs in the industry affect transportation. As several companies
provide the transportation services to the tourists so that due to the environmental crisis this
industry gets affected (Cavagnaro, et al., 2018). As I have been analyzed that due to the increase
in tourists, the overall environment gets impacted. So, transportation gets affected due to the
emission of carbon dioxide and pollution.
The several economic crises in the travel industry affect the hospitality segments largely. As the
different economic crisis includes the recession, currency fluctuations and taxes. All these crises
directly impact the hospitality industry and the industry faces unprofitability.
The major crisis now days is the impact of Coronavirus which affect the airline industry. As the
patients of coronavirus increases due to the air transport so this industry gets affected by the
coronavirus in the coming years.
The crisis related to the market share, market size impact the car rentals as they are local rentals
and they survive their life by tourism only (Ramires, et al., 2018). But due to increasing the size
and share, the car rental gets affected.
The global economic crisis creates several negative impacts on the coach services as nowadays
tourists cannot like to hire the coach so that their overall services gets impacted. It is all due to
the economic crisis in the travel and tourism.
Needs of the travel industry to survive
The travel industry requires several aspects to survive in the future. As the travel and tourism
industry includes several needs and these needs are too essential for the overall industry to
survive in the future (Radojevic, et al., 2018).I have been analyzed that major needs required by
the tourism sector includes the knowledge of the new market and the new technologies used in

In the future of tourism, I want to see myself as an explorer as I love to travel and explore the
world. I need to choose every aspect of the travel agent so that I can enjoy the life of tourism in
the upcoming future. These aspects related to the future of tourism helps me to understand the
conditions of tourism in future.
