INTRODUCTION.
The travel and tourism is the sector which is increasing day by day in the countries. The England
and Wales have many of the visits in the year by the local and international travellers. For
developing these sector there is a need to develop such legal rules and regulation will help to
protect the rights of the domestic and international travellers. The legal rules will help the travel
agents, hotels and transport agency who are involved in the tourism sector to work within the
limits of the laws(Dickinson and Lumsdon., 2010). The system of rules and regulation in the
England and Wales will help to develop the tourism sector. These laws help to regulate the
working of the travel and tourism industries. The laws are formed and governed by government
bodies of the countries the main motive behind the formation of rules and regulation is to
develop the industry and to remain protected prom the crimes and terrorism's. The sustainable
rules an regulation help to maintain the international relations and stables the political and social
environment. The rules will have importance in maintaining the natural and cultural resources
and protects the rights and obligations of the domestic and international travellers.

2.1 Impacts of the principles of health, safety and security legislation.
In today's world the health, safety and security of the individuals and group of individuals
are considered as an important factor. Considering these factors as a important points the
government bodies have formulated and implemented various Acts for the protection of health
and safety in the work place in travel and tourism sector(Evans., Stonehouse and Campbell,.,
2012). All the acts implied deal with the health, safety and security of the individuals which
implies certain rules and regulations for the employers and employees. Health and Safety at Work Act 1974:- The act was formulated to protect the health of the
individual at the work place and provide them safety and security from the hazards. This
act helps to imply certain rules and regulations on the employer in regard of health safety
and security at work place which employer has to follow. This act implies certain duties
which has to be followed by the employers which are as follows:-
General duties of employer towards employees- The employer must ensure that there is a
complete healthy and safe working environment provided for the work to the employees(Garín-
Muñozand Pérez-Amaral., 2011). The health and safety training must be provided by the
employers to ensure the safety at the work. It is a responsibility of the employer to provide the
first aid kits and proper working environment to the employees of the organisation.
General duties of employees- It is the duty of the employee to take the certain measures to
protect himself at the work. It the responsibility of the individuals to use the safety measures and
equipments provided by the employer at the work place.
Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA):- The Data Protection Act was an parliaments act of the
United Kingdom. The DPA 1987 was replaced by the DPA1998. The act states that the
employer should not disclose the individuals personal information to anyone. The
personal informations such as address of the individuals, contact information, bank
details and all the other informations. The informations provided by the employees to the

2.2 Legislation relating to the equality.
The every individuals living in the country either should have equal rights in the society
without any discrimination in sex, race, religion or castes. All the peoples have equal rights to
live in the society for prevention of these discrimination in the society certain acts are framed by
the government bodies which are then implemented on the society. Rules and regulations are
also implied on the tourism sector so treat and provide their services to every individuals without
any discrimination in respect of the gender, race, religion or caste.
Sex Discrimination Act 1975:- This act comes under the Parliament of United kingdom it
protects both men and women from being getting discriminated in the society on the basis
of gender or marital status(Gössling., Hal., Peeters., 2010). The Act have framed the
organisation named as Equal Opportunities Commission(EOC) which helps in the
elimination of the discrimination on the basis of the gender and promotes the equality
between the genders. The EOC have now involved in the Equality and Human Rights
Commission(EHRC) which has power to make claims in behalf of the individual in front
of the tribunal.
Race Discrimination Act 1976:- This Act was the first legislation in the united kingdom
to help in removal of the discrimination on the basis of race, colour, and nationality in the
society(Guttentag., 2015). For consideration of the complaints as per the Act it have also
formed the board named as The Race Relation Board in the year 1966. As the migration
of the peoples in the UK was increasing day by day which lead to the discrimination and
crimes on the basis of races and nationality in daily life so it became necessary to
introduce the Act to eliminate these discrimination.
Disability Discrimination Act 1995:- The Disability Discrimination Act was framed to
protect the individuals in the society who suffers the discrimination because the
disability. It helps to protect the rights of the disable people in relation to the
employment, access to education and helps to access to the goods(Heung,., Kucukusta.,
2010).

Human Rights Act 1998:- This act was signed in UK in 1998. Under this Act the rights of
the humans either younger or older, rich or poor is being protected. The law helped to
provide the authority to access the goods and services meant for. The human rights act
can be used by every individuals or group of individuals who are the residents of the
united kingdom.
Employment Protection Consolidation Act 1978:- The act was framed in the parliament
of the United Kingdom. It was central part of UK labour law. These act protected the
employees in their working part in the companies. The act helps to provide and protects
the rights of the employees in their work place. As per this act the eligible Minister can
order to provide the claim for the damages to the employees and the claim for the sum of
amount due as per mention under the contract.

3.1 Contract legislation in relation to travel and tourism customers
Contracts and agreements are done by every single person regularly. This is a formal
documents between two person, that is been signed by the respective parties and witnesses have
to be present there at the time of agreements and contract. An individual have no idea that he is
been in a contract from the very first day when we decided to purchase any item. Contracts are
made only when both the parties are agreed. When one of the party, involved in the contracts
breaches or does not follows the terms mentioned in the contract then the one who broke the
contract have to give the penalties and fines to the other party(Hudson, and Tha., 2013). The
contracts and the agreements can be finished in several means that are follows: when both the
parties are willing to finish the contract, when there is no agreed contract the offer can be denied,
also when the person dies the contract is automatically finishes. Some of the significance of legal
contracts are as follows: both the parties in which the contract is been made must know that they
are legally obligated, an agent must be knowledgable to the person on the other side they are in a
contract, both the parties should interact about the legal terms established between them.
Contracts that is been linked with travel for pleasure, is made by the person who wants to
explore mentioning all the demands and requirements to the agent and its his responsibilities to
meet the needs and requirements of the person(Lee,and Brahmasrene., 2013). Once all the
requirements are fulfilled both the person who are involved in the contract are agreed on this, it

tourism are as follows: an individual has agreed all the conditions with that of travelling
company, all the details should be mentioned about the hotels, resorts and restaurants in the
booklet, also the conditions that are been given and specified by the tourist. The terminology that
is been created in by the consumer law: Implied terms are those term as well as conditions that
are directly involved in the travelling contract(Lejárraga and Walkenhorst., 2010). In the
travelling contract it is very important that all the services that are given to the tourist should be
given with an at most honesty and care. Some of the terms that are been agreed by the traveller
with the travelling company are as follows: express are the terms that involves location of the
hotels, its name, allotment of rooms, meals and also to know the check-in and check-out date.
Some of the terms that are not treated as more significant terms then these are known as major
terms.
3.2 Customer protection along with the legislation interlinked with the travel and tourism zone
This topic is very crucial and significant topic. As in many countries, customer protection
laws are been made to ensure that there should be no false statements and misleading comment.
These are generally made in terms of prices, arrangements during travelling and also in terms to
holidays(Lipman and et,al., 2012). It is done for the rights of the consumers and is very
significant as this refers that if any of the terms of legislation been violated, this leads to
punishment it could be in terms of fines or may be a person could be imprisoned. Organisations
and companies that are in travelling sector, should make sure that the informations and along
with the statements are true to their consumers. They should not be misleading to their
customers(Mairand Jago., 2010). The company or the organisation that gives false and
misleading information should be punishable for breaching the contract or legislation. Consumer
Protection Act, 1987 constrains the false price evidence to the consumers. This involves the false
price of the products, accommodation and services they are providing. The means in which the
misleading can be done by taking more price than it is mentioned. This refers that if a customer
has to give more than the actual price that is been mentioned, then accordingly the Customer
Protection Act is also bring breached and violated this will direct to the result for agent of
travelling company. In order to protect, there is a need to put forward all the proofs of the list of
prices. This shows that the company is fooling and misleading the consumers, harming the

customers and the needs of the present, that the company TUI Group would be fulfilling at an
affordable pricing. Many researches have been analysed and put forward the cross-cultural
difficulties. Government being not stable to the change in the political weather in the
surroundings. Cultural and social factors are twisted around and based on the organisations and
other communities that are solely dependent on the targets or goals. According to these two

growth practice these are some of the activities that CSR provides to the society. To maintain
and to control its Corporate Social Responsibilities, the company TUI Group can link up with
the communities that are local for evaluate the needs and wants that the business' accountability
has towards them(Ramayah., Lee and In., 2011). Corporate Social Responsibilities has variety of
sources that are social, environmental as well as cultural to refrain and prevent the wastage and
also preserve and sustain the bio diversity along with its culture. It is also very important for TUI
Group to practice time to time their corporate social responsibilities to gain the features like
cultural along with social values. It can also be divided into two categories:
Humanitarianism – for accomplishing the corporate social responsibilities, charity is the
first choice for the business. It assist them to encourage and boosts their brand by
growing the level of charity so that it counts and sum up in their publicity.
Surroundings – the basic purpose of corporate social responsibilities is to conserve the
surroundings for encouraging the travellers to visit.

funds. Corporate social responsibilities, is the term which provides the possibilities to to all the
workers of the company, TUI Group to contribute towards the welfare of the society and its
respective country(Scott., 2011). The corporate social responsibilities, contributes in creating an
image by a positive and a good word of mouth on the whole that is doing for the stake holders of
the company and also for the society and its customers to make sure the growth of the company.
The activities of corporate social responsibilities strengthens the relations among the workers of
the companies. Employees creates the tendency to work together as an individual entity to assist
other. This also creates loyalty towards the company. Corporate social responsibilities also plays
a very important role in creating a positive image of the respective company. Due to this people
that is the consumers starts trusting the products of the company and this is a key factor that a
company should look for that is consumers trusting the product and the company as well. For
generating more and more revenues, a positive response towards the company that is though
word of mouth is necessary.

treated same despite their disability, sex, religion, age, race, identity in relation to sex like
homosexual, bisexual or heterosexual. Difficulties that are faced ethically like marketing,

making process and this rely on the ethical knowledge. The employees of the firm have to use
appropriate rules and regulations as well as acts so that they manage the activities and also
provide the best facilities to the consumers so that they can earn good experience by visiting the
best places. They have to provide the best transportation facilities for their passengers so tht they
can not face any issue in visiting the different tourist destination.
