Introduction
Tourism law is specifically lays out the structure work that belongs to
travelling agencies, airports and travelling management. It has develop
from ecological conditions, health and security , employer rights,
planning or provision , consumer protection, company law or declaration.
It has been developed to insure good facilities and proper functioning of
the tourism sector in and outside the different parts of the country to
encourage corporate social responsibility for promotion, advancement,
boosting, supporting and inspiring tourism.

1.1 Explain the legal and regulatory
framework of the travel and tourism sector.
Legal framework refers to the wider system that includes rules which are
governed as well as regulated in the agreement, decision making etc. In
this present time, tourists are enhancing day by day and the travel and
tourism sector gives its contribution in enhancing economy of country.
For regulations, there are different legal frameworks are established.
According to Thomas cook, the legislation and tourism industry is linked
in many different ways as anybody can make an idea about it.

1.2 Discuss surface, sea and air transport law
in relation to the carriage of passengers

Air, sea and surface transport lying within the legal as well as regulatory
framework that is governed through air law, surface and sea law. The
transportation mode may be change on the basis of transport. These

Surface law :- It is governed through “The International Carriage of
Passenger by Road Act, 1979”. It protects rights of passengers on board.

contract law. Seacraft with around 12 no. of tourists related to life
guarding and fire safety equipments are to be covered in “The
