Introduction
As the travel and tourism, the industry grows at the rapid stage. With the development and
growth in this industry, it is important to protect the tourist and visitors in this sector. The
Whitbread that is famous for the multinational hotels, coffee shops and restaurants. This project
provides an opportunity to explore the tourism industry. In this context, it consists the legal and
regulatory framework in the tourism industry by discussing the several laws related to the
carriage of the passengers within the legal framework of this industry. Further, it consists the
impacts of the principles of health, safety and security related legislation in the travel and
tourism sector. Furthermore, this assignment analyses the equality legislation to eliminate the
differences that inculcate in the tourism industry. For the protection of the customers, the concept
of the contract legislation is discussed. Moreover, in this assignment ethical dilemmas are
analysing that is face under the travel and tourism industry. To ensure the responsibility of the
corporate towards the tourism industry the corporate social responsibility is analysed.

dangerous activity. In this context, the management of the Whitbread needs to secure the health
by providing them with safety. The impacts of the legislation in the travel and tourism industry
are mentioned below:
Data Protection- At any sphere of business it is important to protect the personal and
confidential data of the customers or the employees. Management must ensure the safety
and security of the data of the travellers or visitors that are provided by them (Cornock,
2018). The Data Protection Act, 2018 is responsible to ensure the information security so
that the deal should be fair and transparent.

aim of this act to ensure the equality among the employees against the unfair practices and
treatment at the occupational place (Vila, et. al., 2015). This act provides protection to the
disabled persons against the unfair treatment at occupational place, education institutions, clubs,
workplace etc.
Employment Act 2002- In the context of this act, it ensures the safety and security of the
employees. Apart from this, it is important that the employees work in the friendly
environment of working so that the employees are easily adjusting in the new working

2015). This act ensures that each and every workplace has the proper working facilities that
