Introduction
Travel and tourism sector is one of the leading sector in current
time period. The accommodation includes the provision of
cleanliness, telecom services and eat food. It is necessary that the
combination is carefully declared in order to protect employees
interest as well as buyers. Legislation has been issued by
regulatory bodies which deals in compliance problems and gives
better and functional environment for the tourists.

Legal and regulatory framework in
travel and tourism sector
A legal system is the one which consists various rules and
regulations that helps in decision making process with some
specific legislated boundaries. There are some act which are
described as under:

organisation and their coordination are specialised by “British
Tourist Authority”.

Package travel and Tour Regulation Act, 1992- The regulation
act will mainly deliver some responsibility of tour operator to their
customers.

Food Hygiene Regulation, 2006- It is required that hygiene can
be maintained for the food which are provided to target customers.

hygiene regulation act.

Surface, sea and air transport law in
relation to carriage of passengers
Surface law – This law is administered by the International
carriage of passenger by Road act ,1979. It is regulated to provide
various transport facilities for railways under Europe. Surface law
is regulated by Railways and other transport systems Regulation
2006.

Sea law – This act of law is covered shipping safety and security
as well as environmental factors. Sea law is coordinate with ferry
services, passenger's cruises and cargo services. According to this
law safety needs to be maintained in Seacraft with at least 12 no.
of passenger related to the fire safety and life guard equipment.

Air law- The rules and regulations of international carriage and its
documentation which are regulated under “The Warsaw
Convention, 1929”. The passengers death compensation and right
to claim over personal injury of person which are covered under in
this law.
