TASK 1
P 1.1 Formulating and recording possible research project outline specification
` In formation and technologies have been making great impact within corporate sector
from the last few decades. Innovators and engineers are frequently making efforts to invent
advanced and unique technology which can bring revolutionary changes within current business
environment. In context of travel and tourism sector in the UK, various types of innovative

P 1.2 Identifying the factors that contributes to the process of research selection
There are some elements of the research topic that contributes to selection of the
research which described below: Availability of data: Feasibility of data is an essential element factor that motivates the
researcher to the selection of this specific topic on understanding the influences of
technologies on travel and tourism sector in UK. In this context, the current data on
present research are easily available and the relevant data related to subject can be easily
extracted by researcher. The topic is fascinating and appropriate data concerning to the
topi can be access by the researcher which is available on internet. Special areas of interest: In this research, the researcher has particular areas of interest in
the research project. In this context, it is very essential for investigator and research to
extract those filed in which they have much interest and like the most as well. As
described about researcher interest about the particular topic. There are some subject
matters which makes influences upon researcher to selection of the researcher project
eventually. Enhance knowledge: Enhancement within analytical knowledge and technological
experience, researcher has chosen this topic. It will enable researcher and end user of the
study to increase their depth of knowledge within influences of technologies within
traveling sector in UK. With the help of study on the topic, he of she will be able to raise
up their ares of knowledge within this particular subject which influence them most.

research criteria in the particular technological filed. Thus, feasible subject matter is
another factor that contributes to the process of research selection.
P 1.3 Critical review of references
According to Cantallops & Salvi, (2014) technology element plays vital role in context of
travel and hospitality industries in UK country. Both industrial customers get effective benefits
from advanced communication level of firm, reservation and guest experience and getting online
services. In the hospitality business, technology has played crucial role in terms of provision of
better guest experiences to their existing customers from reservation to check out services. In
travel and tourism business, there are numbers of day to day activities are being done, where
technology can help organisations to completion of their business tasks significantly. However,
in travelling sector technology is helping this sector to getting communicate with existing
customers and greatly impact upon performance level of businesses which is running in this

organisations are required to adopt advanced digital technology at workplace in context of
reaching out existing customers and introduce their latest offering to them in easy way. It will
help them to boost up their existing performance and growth level of business.
P 1.4 Research project specification
An investigator or a researcher must be use the best research techniques for conducting
the research project in proper manner. Research techniques are the best techniques so that a
researcher use theses these techniques for better performing research project. Now it is a new
issue that what technique shall be use by the researcher in various techniques. According to the
Abootts Travel, the various techniques for making a better research project are as under beneath - Research Philosophy: In this method the process is starting from data collection, data
analysis and further data interprets. Research philosophies have some types (Sotiriadis
and Van Zyl, 2013). That are positivist and interpretive. In such type a researcher must
use of interpretive research technology for getting best result. Research Design: In accordance to reach at certain achievement the researcher must
make a plan under this technique. For making this researcher will use the descriptive
research design. The descriptive research design provides to the researcher a perfect
subject matter and from this researcher is capable for find to the research related
problems. Research Strategy: It provides a strategy to the researcher for work on all research
project and analysis the data collected earlier. Qualitative and quantitative are the basic
kind of research strategy. According to the problems the researcher must use both of
them with primary data and secondary data eventually and study the research problem.
4

Research Approach: It is a process where determine the broad assumptions to detailed
method of data collection, analysis and interpretation. It is therefore depends on the
nature of the research problem being addressed (Sigala, Christou and Gretzel, eds., 2012).
Two types of research approach are used for research problem. First is approach of data
collection and second is approach of data analysis or reasoning. Data Collection: In data collection there are certain steps for collecting or gathering and
analysing the data by different techniques and methods. So there are basically two ways
for collection of data these are primary source and secondary source. Using questionnaire
method the researcher collect the primary data. And about secondary data the researcher
use articles and related books with authentic permission. Sampling: Sampling is the act or process of selecting the best sample from various data.
Sampling is required because there are too many data in front of a researcher and he/she
can distract from numbers of data. In sampling a small part selected as a sample for data
analysis process. Example of sampling is like a data of 20 employee takes for sample for
the analysis of data collection (Banyai and Glover, 2012). In this process the researcher
can use simple random sampling technique.
Data Analysis: In this technique these steps are followed – inspecting, cleaning,
transforming, and last model ng the data with the use of information. The process of
analysis of data examine each elements of the data provided by using logical and
analytical reasoning. Data analysis use systematic process for making better research.\

P 2.2 Undertaking research investigation with agreed specification
In this section, researcher will define the research methodology which has used by he or
she in the research proposal briefly. Research philosophy: In this first phase in Saunders Research Onion is research
philosophy. It defines about systematic ways in which the data is been gathered and
further analysed and interprets. In this research the researcher has used interpretivism
research philosophy (Mok, Sparks and Kadampully, 2013). It enables researcher to attain
desired aim and objectives of study. Research design: Research design is a structure by which the researcher was able to give
answer of the research questions. In the study, the researcher has utilised the descriptive
research designs to answering the research questions. Research strategy: It refers to the respective plan through the researcher will be able to
work on entire research tasks and assess the gathered data as well. There are two kinds of
research strategies which are qualitative and quantitative. In the present research, the
investigator has used both strategies on the primary and secondary data collection. Research approach: Research approaches is utilised to checkout the feasibility of
assumptions and hypothesis which is used in the present study. In the present study, the
research has utilised deductive research approach. Data collection: Data collection can be executed by using various types of data
gathering approaches and processes. Systematically, there are two ways and approaches
of collection of data which is primary and secondary data collection method. In order to
gather appropriate data from the selected employees of the organisation, a questionnaire
has been provided them to gain knowledge about influences of technology on
organisation functionalities (Cantallops and Salvi, 2014). The secondary data has been
gathered by assessing books and articles from different authors. It will help the

researcher to attain their desired goals and objectives on which the study has conducted
by researcher. Sampling: It is essential factor of research through which data can be collected. In the
present study, 40 employees has been taken as sample to collect analytical data. It has
been done by using simple random sampling method. Data analysis: According to data analytical phase, in this stage, collected data
interpreted within thematic analysis process. In the present study, researcher has utilised
themes to prepare tables and figures to interpretation in the systematic form. Ethical consideration: It is very crucial factor for the researcher to consideration of the
importance of ethics (Buhalis and Amaranggana, 2013). During completion of research
tasks, it is necessary for the researcher to follow up the ethical codes and conduction to
carry out research. Entire consent has been obtained from the participants.
Research limitation: The researcher has faced certain types of limitation while
formation of aim and objectives of the study. During data gathering and assessment
method, the researcher faced problems to selection of the most appropriate method for
conduction of study.
