Introduction
Employability skill can be defined as the transferable skill that is needed by an individual for
making it employable. The hotel industry is growing in the UK so the study has related to the
Travelodge with employability skill in this study. Travelodge hotels Limited are a private
organization that operates with different hotels and hospitality industry throughout the United
Kingdom. It deals with over 500 hotels in the UK, 11 hotels in Ireland and 5 hotels in Spain.
Headquarter of the organization is in Thame, England and the number of employees including
full-time and part-time is 15,000. The study has focused on different employability skill which
has improved the responsibilities and performance in the workplace.
Task 1) Determining on responsibilities and performance in Travelodge.
1.1) Own responsibilities and performance
It is important for a manager to develop a good responsibility for achieving the objective of
Travelodge. This will also improve the performance of the team and will help the top level
management for retaining the goal of the organization.
Daily operation: Performing the role has improved the primary role of the department of the
group of employees. The department has maintained efficiency in the organization. This has also
helped to meet the short and long term goals for improving the longevity of the organisation
(Yoon, 2015).
Teamwork: Being a responsible manager, efficiency of the team was performed accurately by
meeting the targets and monitoring the market for improvement of the organization. This has
improved efficiency and decision making the process of the team.

issue in the organization (Chibili, 2017). I have critically observed the performance of the
employees and produce a study report by focusing on the creativity level for developing the
process and employees.
1.2) Evaluating the effectiveness objectives.
An effective relationship with the customer and the team member can lead to an improvement in
the functional department of the organization. As a manager, it is important to evaluate the
current performance by comparing it with the standard performance. Evaluating the performance
is important to improve the time management, ability to meet the dateline and prioritize the
work. A self-assessment tool is a process of looking at oneself in order to access the aspects that
are important for identifying on self with self-verification and self-enhancement (Sharma, and
Sharma, 2019) To evaluate the performance I have adopted self-evaluation tool which has
improved the efficiency of my team.

1.4) Motivational technique that can be used for improving quality performance
After drawing a recommendation on the complexity of self-evaluation, a motivation technique
can be used for improving the quality of the employees in Travelodge.
Maslow's hierarchy motivational needs can be adopted for improving the performance through
five different factors:
Psychological need: For maintaining this team leader have to observe the basic need like food,
amenities, excretion, etc of the team members (Dicen et al. 2019).
Safety need: It is important to maintain the safety of the employees by focusing on the health
security, employment security, security of resources, modality of the employees and safety of the
properties.
Love or belonging: It is important to have friendly relation and supportive staff in the
environment which can lead to efficiency in the work. The team leaders have to understand the
bond among the employees and influence them to work perfectly.
Esteem needs: The leaders have to understand the needs of the employees by respecting each
other which helps to develop an achievement. The Eastern it will improve the work culture and
motivate the employees.
Self-actualization: The self-actualization will help to maintain the morality, creativity,
spontaneity, and problem solving of the employees (Anjana and Prashnati, 2019).
Along with Maslow's theory, McClelland's Need Theory can also be adapted to motivate the
employees by developing the environment and culture. This will help to achieve:

Calculate the risk in the environment.
It will achieve strong desire through performance feedback.
